What Wheel Locks are these?

Got some locks on my new truck. Of course theres no key and dealer didnt have it either. It appears to be a seven spline type of lock, but the splines are not all symmetrical. No shop in my town claims to have a key to remove them, but want to charge $20 PER LOCK to remove. I tried the 12 point socket-hammer-on-to-lock attempt but didn't work for me. Any insight on this would be appreciated and ideas to what manufacturer has the key would be great.

 

Look in the jack tool bag for the key if you haven't already. Makes sense to keep it in there....and some people do

 

21 mm E-Torx socket maybe? but in all seriousness i have never seen something like that before.

Find a spline drive socket that will fit, should work. Or a gator grip socket might work.

 

Snap On makes a tool kit for removing locking lugs. Some tire shops have them. $20 per wheel is ridiculous. Tell the dealer you bought the truck from that they need to take care of it.

Contact the dealer if it was make them remove them or if it was a private sale contact them.
And ask about the key.

 

Many brands do ( i like cornwells), hammer that shit on and hit it in reverse with the impact gun and it comes right out. 2 mins per lug.

I have one locking on each wheel not every lug. I did a quick search and didn’t find any thing or any key that looked like it would fit.

 

The rest are just regular 21mm acorn lugs. only one lock per wheel.

 

1st place I checked. No dice.

I already approached the dealer about another previous issue and they pretty much told me to go pound rocks and it ended up being a childish back and forth nonsense conversation with the manager so I want nothing to do with the dealership anymore.

Doesn’t look like you’d be able to get a socket on the others either those bronze colored rings are in the way?

 

Ok guess I was looking too hard and have had too many.
Looks like a spline drive gorilla makes them along with others.



Mine are 6 spline.
Still don’t get the bronze colored it actually looks like an eccentric guess it’s the wheel.

I’ve got 2 sets different makers the keys work on both.
Maybe a seven spline key is the same for yours.

 

Could weld a nut on them.

 

They don’t look to be the correct type of lugnut/lock for the OEM wheels.

 

Gorilla and Mcgaurd along with others have 7 spline keys. I’d try to find one local if it don’t work return it.

 

A big turbo socket should work. It's like an external ease out. Sears has them, so does sk. Maybe find an Irwin or Hansen one from home Depot.
