TRD Pro Grille for $140?

OK. I also got the same message from "Motorfansclub".
So, those of you who ordered from it earlier, did you have similar problems?
The original shipping info says delivery will be between Dec. 5 and Jan. 8, and now it will take 10 to 12 days?

 

I ordered mine from them on the 11th still not in the U.S. yet.

 

Ordered mine from grill-pro on the 12th. Correspondence all said motorfansclub. Shipped on the 17th. No activity for 5 days. Then arrived in NY on the 22nd. Showed no activity until the delivery notice today the 25th. Ebay est delivery was the 14th-17th. Emailed him the 17th. He replied that delay was due to shortage of stock. It appears the average delivery from him was 12-14 days. Even now tracking on the ebay site tells me it has not left NY but usps says out for delivery today.

 

Well I just got a notice from USPS that my grille with be delivered on Tuesday the 28th bought from motorfansclub on 11/11

 

Ordered mine on the 13th from Motorfanclub. Received it on the 24th. If you get the same one I did,it’s worth the wait! Paid $125,got my shipping cost back!

I ordered it on the 12 and picked it up from USPS on the 24. Install took about 20 minutes and for $140, I couldn't be happier

There’s going to so many 3rd gen Tacoma’s with pro grilles now that the cheese grater will be a rare sight lol. It’s Toyota’s fault for such and ugly ass grille in the first place.

 

Who did you order this one through?

 

I bought mine from this same seller. Paid for it on Tuesday evening 11/21 and its already state side. Hopefully I get the same one.

 

Motorfansclub

 

Grille arrived today. Ordered from Grille-pro (motorfanclub). Nice packaging, one piece design, all black plastic (not painted), all tabs fine. The only issue is what appears to be dried glue on top (passengers side). Probably come from something in warehouse before packaging. I tried to remove dried glue with rubbing alcohol. Did not work. I know not to use acetone (fingernail polish remover), as I’ve made that mistake before on plastic. Anyone have any suggestions as to what i could use to remove dried glue without damaging grille? I don’t really think it will be that noticeable once it’s installed.

 

I use goo gone or wd40 and never had a problem getting dry tree sap off.

 

Looks good. I ordered mine from the same dude. Hopefully it comes near perfect . You can try using wd-40. Leaving the glue in the sun to warm up should help aswell/

 

I will try some WD-40. I think Goo Gone has acetone in it and I screwed up the finish on a black built in microwave several years ago.

 

Just don't breathe around it. The grille might have formaldehyde in it.
Another option might be putting a hairdryer, on low heat, to it and see if it becomes tacky. If it does then turn the hairdryer on high and see if you can simply wipe it off. Don't use a heat gun around that plastic though.

Just got mine, I am outside dipping my stock sport wheels and the post lady showed up. "I'll sign for that!"

Here are pics of the grill from motorfansclub. Ordered 11/15, arrived 11/25 (for future reference). Box showed up pretty banged up, and I was a little worried. Pulled it out and there were not any scratches or broken tabs. It is a solid one piece grill, all black plastic. Feels really solid. Will get it mounted once I finish up with the wheels. Very happy for $140 and free expedited shipping. Arrived on day after last expected date.
