First symptom is that steering feels wonky. Jack up front end and verify slop.

If I were to do it again, I think I would’ve stuck with Ball joints. Haven’t had any trouble yet, buy I’ve only had then since Spring.

I’ll try the upgraded Delta joints next. Probably just do it proactively this Winter.

Anyone interested in these frame box plates from JeffzOrz? Ended up using the DMZ plates.

Went wheeling with lloyd today, was pretty fun, found some new trails and new obstacles. Also got a chance to do plenty of recovery practice. Lloyd needed to be winched twice and Jeremy needed to be winched twice.
First trail was some nice rock faces, wound up being a dead end, but nice views at the top.

    One of the tightest spots

The second trail we took also ended up being a dead end but we decided to blaze a new trail to get down to a larger trail below. We debated on a handful of options, Jeremy took the first line and hung up on his diff and drag link and needed to be winched back up. There was no way we were going down this route.
    DSC08060.jpg
The other route was much better and Jeremy and lloyd had no issues getting down the rocks (pictures don't make this look very difficult :p)

At the end of this new trail we had some trouble taking a left turn, even Jeremy had to take a 3 or 4 point turn. Lloyd ended up going a different route but needed to get over a large log, got high centered and needed to be winched up.

Found our way and went down a familiar trail

Rocky bypass that some of you may remember. Lloyd got high centered on sliders going over this, may partially be due to poor spotting :anonymous: We used Jeremy as an anchor and winched over it.

Kept going and discovered some new trails but it was about 1pm so I wanted to start heading back soon so we could get home before the sun went down. We looped around and went down to a kinda muddy area, didnt look like it'd be much trouble.. But Jeremy took a nosedive and got good and stuck. Lloyd winched him out from the top of the hill and we decided to just go back the way we came.

    image1-36.jpg
Came out to some more familiar trails and headed out, lloyd took an interesting line on the way up. Jeremy tried it but I don't think it'd be very easy if you weren't locked. Lloyd handled it with ease.

Overall fun day of "light wheeling"
