So I've hit a snag in my latest project (where I mount my Quick Fists).

The goal is to mount my Quick Fists in the rail. I managed to find the perfect setup in my dad's box o' spare parts. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find anywhere that sells the key ingredient!

What I'm after is the square washer you see below. It measures 1" by 1" and has a square hole in the center.

Home Depot and Lowe's have no clue what it is, and neither carry square washers of any kind.
My dad is an electrician, so my guess is that it came off some industrial electrical part - possibly it's a clasp for a service panel?

In any case, where can I find more, or something very similar?

I just used a 1"x3/8" bolt, a 3/8" cut washer, a wing nut, and corner braces cut and drilled to fit.

Edit: I don't know where to find the part you're looking for sorry. Improvise!

Buy a piece of flat bar in the appropriate size, cut and drill.

That part is galvanized so I expect it belongs outside. Maybe a clamp for a grounding or neutral wire.

If you can find a pre-drilled strip with enough space between the holes you can just cut lenghts out of it. Pretty much any hadware store or Home Depot/Lowes should have strips of steel with a row of holes down the center.

Interesting idea. I got excited when I saw the electrical channels and started hoping I could use spring bolts, but of course our bed rails are non-standard size.

Just got back from lunch. I tried Platt Electrical, Grainger Industrial, Oregon Bolt. No leads so far, but I haven't given up.

I might have to give that another look. I tried that before but I remember having issues... they come in a few different sizes so I probably had the wrong size.

Anyway, Dad was able to snag me more of that washer. He said they are used on telephone poles. If you look at a pole and there's a big coil of wire, this 'washer' is used to hold that coil in place. They have to be special ordered, unfortunately.

They work great. I used the same concept to mount my ammo cans to the bed rails.

Those are parallel groove electrical connectors. The bolt holds two of those square pieces together. They are a bi-metal material and used for copper to copper and copper to aluminum connections. I think home depot might have them where they sell the crimp on electrical connections and wire nuts are.

Yep, got a big sack from Dad and that's how they were assembled. I didn't see anything in any of the stores I mentioned above, but I could have been looking in the wrong spot.

Thanks for putting a name to them!

I believe it's called a T nut. I saw a video where the guy bought them at home depot in the electrical dept. Hope this helps.
