    If you guys go to Gardner canyon, for anyone who has a hunting license, it's dove, squirrel and quail season. Just don't shoot any mearns quail or whitewing dove.

    Damn this is close to me too, wish I could make it out there, I'll be at work though. Things grew back FAST after the sawmill fire, you probably wont even notice it much.

    The only signs I really saw of the fire was the "habitat trees" that were marked with plaques by the state and areas that are a bit more open then others (less mature oaks and pines) but it didn't look bad at all.

    Just some info:

    If you’re going south on 83 from Tucson, Gardner canyon will be on your right. It’s a few miles past the border patrol checkpoint. Google says it’s around mile marker 38. You really can’t miss the green sign.

    Not sure how busy it’ll be, I often see atv trailers parked there. We may see a few Jeeps on their weekend patrols.
