    1. MTs.
DD'd with MTs. Will never do again. I'd rather keep 2 sets of wheels and swap if I ever did MTs again. Lesson: There are plenty of nice aggressive AT tires that will suit me just fine.

    2. CB
Agree with above poster. Was a total waste of time/effort/money. Never used it. 100% more of a music/radio/cd person.

    3. Uniball UCAs.
I ran total chaos UCAs/Uniballs. Absolutely no protection from the elements. Uniball liner came out after 6 months and was a noise monster the entire time after, even with tons of lube.

Selection was a bit limited on remaining '17 models when I bought my SR5.

I really did like everything about the one I chose....everything but the seat color. I would have preferred a darker charcoal over the light gray seats. My last truck had tan seats that hid coffee stains really well. Don't think these gray seats will be as forgiving.

I'm waiting on a set of Wet Okole covers to arrive....today, according to the FedEx tracking info. I went with charcoal covers and am really hoping they are much darker than the OE seat cloth. Fingers crossed, lol.

This SR5 is my 7th 4x4 vehicle. They have each been daily drivers, too.

Every single time I get close to buying MT tires, I get swayed by a good AT.

I've had OUTSTANDING results with Firestone Destination AT tires. I've been getting great results when hunting & scouting, great live-ability as daily driver and 50K+ miles on them. I've had several sets over the years on the different vehicles.

My SR5 came with OE Firestone Destination LE tires that ride so damn smooth that I'm going to simply run them until next year when I start doing more offroading scouting out hunting spots. I have a 45 mile daily commute on work days that has me really enjoying the ride of this vehicle. As good as the MT tires look....I think I'll be very happy with another set of Firestone Destination AT tires when the time comes. They have a new special edition with a cool looking sidewall texture....like a camo pattern.

I regret buying a front plate bumper, I got caught up in the Overland craze for a minute. Felt like driving the side of a barn down a highway. Also made me want to cut my fenders for 35's.i wheel my truck and all the times I've went out I never needed the approach angle. And ill run moderate trails. Bumper is gone now. I feel relieved.

They are really just expensive nerf bars. Fine for road use, but worthless offroad.

Mod list... Well, my paint is factory.
NFAB Nerf steps. They look great but I switched out for BAMF sliders after bottoming on the steps a few times.

Agreed 100%. Plus they are almost as expensive as real sliders.

I don’t have much so far but my Lund side steps were the most waste of money. I’ve used them once in the 2 years I’ve had the truck and they just brush against my pants when I get in and out. Only reason I leave them on is my vertically challenged lady friends who need it to get in the passenger side...

    yep..
Auxbeam 32" light bar. Not much of an investment but the thing was screwed. The light beam was crooked and from 10 feet away the beam was about a foot to the left from being straight. Replaced with Baja Designs and never looked back.

Also the AB LED pods are ok but 3 out of 4 leaked. Had to reseal them. No biggie, they work great now.

I've been pretty happy with all my larger purchases.

It looked good, but I knew that I was going to go with a full 3 inch lift eventually, so I just wish I would have saved my time and money and gone straight to the icon lift.

Too many but also not enough mods
Extang Solid Cover 2.0 because water pours in from everywhere, constantly moves around and fell off rails 3 times.

OME 888x coils. Bought them already mounted with Bilstein 5100's on 0 setting (never installed on truck). Got a good deal $550 but was way too much for my suspension, even with my bumper and winch. I guess there is a reason they are not listed for 2nd gen Tacoma's!

Does anybody on this thread have seat covers that they strongly recommend? I was eyeing some WO for my truck but having second thoughts reading here.....
