    Well that’s just lazy haha

Wind would blow them away if I did that. Our tree is still too small for anything. Front yard is the size of a postage stamp so options are limited.

Thank you, I spent more time drying the wood than anything...it is supposed to look like an old barn....not sure if I hit the mark.

Does anyone here have an opinion on "luxury" vinyl flooring? The sig other wants the same flooring throughout the whole first floor, which leaves me with tile or vinyl considering moisture in the kitchen and bathrooms. I'm sure tile would cost a fortune considering I can't do it myself.

does your area have a habitat for humanity ReStore? I find lots of stuff there for the random project and at a huge markdown over retail stores. If it's a relatively small area you could possibly find nice tile for cheap.

We did vinyl floors in the last house. Not bad, but not great either. It’s easy to install, but also easy to mess up. It’s also hard to fix issues with it. If I had to do it over again I would have done laminate flooring and tile.

We do actually. I'll take a stroll through there to see what I see.

That was my thinking, tile in the kitchen and bathrooms and laminate everywhere else. We currently have some cheap vinyl in our kitchen and after dropping a few things on the floor I know exactly what you are talking about with fixing issues.

My opinion is there is no such thing as 'luxury' vinyl flooring

We got good laminate for 89c a square foot at lumber liquidators and redid the floor in our back room this summer. 2 days a rubber mallet and some scrap 2x4 and it was done. Look for the stuff with the glued on padding.

find a lot of garbage in there (70's era appliances and cabinets) but occasionally find a diamond in the rough. our local one is good about posting things on their facebook page, especially if they get alot of something donated.
