Thanks. I'm not sure why I even decided to block it out. I guess its because of others doing it but I can't think of anything anyone could do with my license plate number.

 

I block mine out when I drive down the road. If anyone wants to read it, they can pull me over.

I went with the Cali raised one when they did the presale. I guess you can now get it for $140-165 on ebay tho.

 

New aft accessory and the sunset sets it all off nicely.

 

They will --all it takes is a cop having a bad day. Just make sure you are not violating any other laws--they like to find more wrong, since they already have to do the paperwork for the license plate stop.

Blazing blue pearl looks amazing, I wish I got blue.

 

Nothing wrong with white. I had a white then a red and now a blue Tacoma and loved every one I had. There are pros and cons to darker colors. I like that white looks clean usually a lot longer than darker colors. Having said that I am surprised that the blue stays clean looking better and longer than expected.

 

Yea, I like the white... it does stay clean longer. My previous car was black and would only stay clean for a couple hours after washing it. Blue looks really good in the pictures and I don't see too many blue Tacomas here in Southern California. Maybe next time I'll get a blue truck... till then I'll keep lurking in this thread.

 

I saw on another thread that blue was one of the lowest produced colors. I didn't fact check so they may have been talking out of their ass.

 

When I bought mine in Jan 2016 there were 11 blue available in the country. Much less in Sport access cab rear wheel drive. I drove 4 hours to Maryland to get it. That was after giving up on the same truck in inferno. That color was sold out before hitting ports at that time and I was on a 3 month waiting list with a dealer in NC. I still love the inferno but am extremely happy with blue. In my area dealers would not consider looking. All they had incoming were 4 wheel drive and none in blue or inferno. Plenty of color choices were available in double cabs. I already had a red double cab that I sold after buying my blue one. Did not need another double cab.
What is surprising is that the initial tv commercials highlighted the blue in the desert video so I assumed blue would flood the market.

 

Same surprise here on my part --especially if you keep a good coat of wax on them.
Your truck looks great with the new grill, I think I am still going to try a paint mod on the OEM sport/off road grill. WE wouldn't want twins now would we?

 

I think they did "flood the market in some parts of the country -- not in the Midwest--I had to order mine

 

Steve, do your wheels have the black background or the silver?

 

I have the BBP and the color just hasn't ever settled with me. Might dump it for a MGM or Black. Not sure.
