Thanks for thinking of me, but I'm all set with the cap. Pretty much already bought one, going to pick it up on 12/2. Only 2 hours from me, red, and going to paint it black once the weather warms up.

 

I was just suggesting selling it to Cativelense since he's in the market for a black SB cap, so he could buy the blue one. Selling it to Caleb would be a lot easier and closer though.

EDIT: I'm also looking into dent repair for that back portion of your cab. I don't think we'd be able to do it. It'd have to be a pro. There are some crazy tools they're using.

Removing the old shocks:



Finally got the new shocks in!

 

I've had to break out the andle grinder on a few sets of rear shocks. Those things are a pain! I usually just flatten the sides though to better grab it with some channel locks.

Also WTF happened to that screwdriver.

 

that worked on the drivers side.... flatten out 2 ends and grabbed it w/ channel locks..... the pass side wouldnt budge

and the screwdriver snapped while lining up the pass side bottom shock into the shock mount.... it was like 15 years old haha but I was still a little "shocked." haha

 

Yeah for some reason the lower shock mounts seem to be too narrow, making it a little tough to get them in there. Usually takes some persuasion with channel locks and a hammer.

 

yep, I just grabbed my large pry bar and pulled it a bit and they went in with some coaxing
