I just purchased Toyo Open Country 285/70/17 R/T’s for a great Black Friday price.
If anyone is riding on these please give me your input.
I haven’t bought the wheels yet. Im still riding on the stock wheels and tires. Only 6000 miles on them.
I’m in limbo with wheel choices. I like the XD Monster II’s over the Fn Fx Pro Trd knockoffs. The XD Revolver in black are no longer available which I liked a lot. It’s a tough decision. If anyone has these tire wheel combos I’d love to hear what you think.

I had the tires and some XD on my old truck, the XD didn't hold up well started to rust and if they discontinue your model you will have a hell of a time trying to get replacement parts.

I have R/Ts and I love them. Road noise isn’t too bad and they did great through our nasty winter last year. I’ve had Toyo M/Ts and A/Ts and these seem to work best for me. I wanted something different and went with Black Rhino wheels in 17s.
It’s hard to tell in this picture but they are a darker bronze and black

Nice Truck! Thanks for the feedback. I am stoked about installing the wheels and lift next weekend. I purchased a toyotech 3” lift the R/Ts and XD Monster II in 17x9. One hell of a Christmas gift to myself. I think the kids will understand, I’m giving them framed pics of my taco for gifts.

I have the same size Toyo RTs as you have, I have about six thousand miles on them and they are by far the worst wet pavement tires I've ever owned. The noise isn't too bad and I love the look but any cornering in wet weather and it's almost like there's an oil slick on the road.
I wish I would never have bought these. As soon as they wear a decent amount I'll be switching to maybe the ATs because they're amazing. I'm going to try siping them next time I'm in so I'll see how that goes. The breaking performance decent but cornering is dangerous.
