I just received the last of my +2 LT kit I ordered in July. Removed all the suspension components and went to mount the All-Pro LCA and it appears that the dimensions for the mounting points are not the same. It looks as though there is an offset of about half an inch. I measured the passenger side stock LCA which is still mounted and it has the same offset.

Can anyone else who is running this kit confirm a perfect fit? It doesn't seem like I could even get the washer in there without damaging the bushing or mount. Pretty disappointed as it stands.

Looks like it’s on the wrong side ... judging by the tie rod

The rear is larger so it's not really possible to mount it on the wrong side. Just for funsies here is what the other one looks like.

The cam was seized to the inner the inner bushing sleeve, which I wasn't expecting with only 70k miles so I'd have been down for that anyways even if the LCA fit. The bushing got heated a lot while I was sawing through the sleeve, and now I'm wondering if I should replace the bushing before I put the stock LCA back in. Any input on if I should bother to replace it? Had to use a bottle jack and a deep well socket with penetrating fluid to push the sleeve out and the bushings were a bit torn. Ordered the MOOG K100128 as a replacement sleeve/cam bolt which should be here tomorrow morning.

Heard back from All-Pro last week and Jon said to add shims and use the LCA and he'd get a replacement out. Installed the passenger side and I was able to get the spacers on both sides using a pry bar.

Tore the driver side apart again and used a bottle jack against the cross member and pushed the rear of the LCA mount toward the front and was able to hammer the washer in place.

Going to torque everything and finish reassembly. I'm a little worried that flexing the LCA mounts this much is going to cause some issues when I go to get the alignment done. Or the excess lateral stress might crack a weld on the mount.

You shouldn’t have to do that at all...I would not be happy what so ever.

    Tc arms don’t require this.

I had fitment issues with my all pro kit I had to pry it into place and barley got it in. I just thought that my mounts on the truck its self were bent. but now seeing you had the same issue it worries me. I also cant get my truck aligned correctly with this kit on.

You'll never get your money back. I've been waiting on that one. Only thing they give back is lies. That is all I've gotten, excuses and no truths.

That's bullsit, I'm no master mechanic but I've done enough LCA's/UCA's to know it shouldn't require that much banging, bending, tweaking to get them on & ready for alignment, plus the attachment points on the tacomas are sadly weak & I'd think too much "forced fitting" like this is going to lead to a fail soon...

My truck doesn't have any issues with the alignment. The only worry right now is that due to the odd fitment the outside bushing is squished pretty flat and there is a gap between the bottom of the bushing and the LCA. I'm just switching to the Total Chaos 3.5 Race Kit. Not sure what I'll be doing with these. Will probably just buy some RCV axles and try to sell this kit with both +2" axles already installed in OEM CV's.

Agreed man, the thing is this isn't a MT set up. The arms are longer thus creating more torque and stress on the stock frame and supporting parts. LT parts are for the most part, very well designed to keep the truck from destroying itself by extensive design. Not saying by any means that All pro didn't do their homework, but the design SHOULD be the hardest part. If you are having trouble executing the construction of your LCAs in dimensional spec, I question what is your fabrication process to begin with. Most companies adopt very precise jigs for this...to have a 1/2 inch off deviation tells me they need to revisit their standards in the building process and furthermore employ some serious quality control. You would think this would be pretty self explanatory for items with such a go/no go fitment issue as well as the possible destruction they can cause if they arnt within "spec."

I would hope that these guys would NOT keep the LCAs on with that degree of offset as that's just asking for front end damage if they use the kit as advertised out on the trail as things could tear themselves if things arnt centered up right and in "balance" with the whole front end.

OP, I got the TC 3.5 race front end and man it feels great and the install is solid and very much attention to detail. TC is a pretty penny, but the piece of mind that comes with companies such as them like burg and solo have a price point for the right reasons. Im sorry to see this situation arise with your build and Im sure its a hell of a setback funds wise as no one expects to ditch an LT front kit before even installing it. I def wont recommend the all pro early and current LT kits due to this situation, just too much risk when you have the whole truck front end apart and come across this...I would have lost my shit at that point as all you can do is point the old stuff right back on and then align it depending if its your daily.

Did AP offer any credible explanation for this severe mishap? LT kits arnt just five bucks...

The only explanation they offered is difficulty finding fabricators in the MT area, and they are moving back to CA. I had them on the truck and put maybe 500 miles off-road on it so far. I'm out of the country right now, so it'll be sitting until the replacements come (or maybe not judging by other threads). My plan right now is just to buy the TC 3.5 Race kit and have it waiting on me when I get back. If the LCA's measure identical to the stock mounts, I'll sell the kit without the shocks and pull the UCA off when I put the TC arms on. Then whoever buys it will have an umounted LCA, and a UCA with new bushings.

I'm emailing Pat at Total Chaos right now. Going to order the kit and probably go with RCV's extended CV's for them. This All Pro kit has some minor binding even with the limit straps maxed, so hopefully the RCV's will allow a bit more travel.

I've read a lot of arguments against RCV CV Axles due to the gears being the new weakest point with tougher axles, but haven't found any reports of them tearing diffs up. If it does break them, it'll be a good chance to try the new 4.30's out and replace my ARB seals.

Sounds like you are doing the right thing here with that. Atleast you will know that the LCAs will be easy to remove and swap as you already broke open all the bolts. Going from a 2+ all pro to the TC 3.5, would you have to get new coilovers? I know TC designed their kit for the 2+ and 3.5+ to run the same coilovers, but not sure if that would be the same spec as the all pro ones.

Nope. Pat says that the coilovers used on All Pro's new kit is the same as theirs. The Fox packaging that arrived was actually ordered to another company and shipped as "TC Coilovers". Do you know if the King's can be adjusted on the truck? All Pro's website says you can adjust the Fox 2.5's on the truck, and I damaged the spanner. Some searching found I had to compress the spring, which is a headache when trying to level it. Might be looking at switching over to King's as well since I haven't ordered the 16" shocks for the rear yet. Had originally planned on Fox 2.5's front and rear.
