What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Its that anti seize crap. Also changed the wires. Maybe its in my head, but the throttle feels nicer

 

Anyone know if you can run these on top of 5100’s with stock control arms

 

Hey I just realized your local. Famous Stars and Stripes army surplus. Same parking lot as Harbor Freight on Main St. in El Cajon.

Right now we’re running 265/70R16 with 1.5” spacers, which tire sizes will fit?

 

Not sure but I think wheelersoffroad has a better deal for some.

I'm running 10mm spacers on top of my 5100s and 881s

 

just a regular ole pressure washer

 

I wouldn't.

Plus 5100s can lift the truck if you just precompress the coils

 

Do you have hub to fender measurements?

 

Can you swap these on a currently installed rack ?

 

Replaced the inner tie rods. I think they were about done. While I was under there, replaced Outer tie rods, and installed an Energy Suspension bushing kit on the rack. (glad I did, the original center bushing on the rack was about 40% gone)

Both front sides are about 24"

 

What's the process ? May ask my shop to do it

 

I just did it. It's pretty straight forward. You'll have to remove the sway bar to give yourself enough room to pull the rack back and pound out the bushing on the driver's side that runs horizontal.

I did it while I was replacing the tie rod ends (which probably made it easier to move the rack where I needed it) but I have seen it done with the tie rods attached.

 

Headed out for our annual Christmas tree cutting. Successful this year, since we got out before the snow!
