How much are you paying for your 2017 Tacoma?

Well, I have been offered $4,000 off MSRP on any 2017 or 2018 Tacoma on the lot for two different dealers. It kind of opens things up when they throw the 2018’s in the mix. If one of these dealers has a 7570 cement coming in the I’ll put my name on it!

 

What kind of dealers add ons are y’all getting thrown in now that the 2018s are here? I thought I wanted a 18 cement, but now that pics have started to surface.....I really liked it on the Pro in 2017 but not so much on the TRD in 2018. Looks out of place to me.

I’m going for a 17 TRD OR DCLB in quicksand. The new 18 features don’t really do anything for me.

So far I’m trying to get them to throw in a Pro Grill, Toyota all weather mats (not Weathertec) and blackout package if it does not have it already.

Just looking to see what y’all got recently. I see paint protection, bed mats, etc. Thanks.

 

I bought this exact truck in Oct with premium and tech for $38,200 +ttl. No extra dealer freebies, this was a "no haggle" dealer.

The no haggle, even on accessories, pissed me off a bit so I denied every add on including the undercoating, etc. Added everything I wanted myself and had my brother (been a detailer for a dealer for several years) do scotchgard and undercoating.

I've added a Pro grille, Magnum RT steps, weathertech floor mats, Vent visors, hood protector, remote start, and blackout overlays so far.

 

So I'm about to get a Tacoma off road 4x4 DCSB with tonnue cover, prem tech JBL package and tow package. Did not sign up for any of the extended warranties or karr alarm system

I was wondering if that is a decent price or could I go lower?

 

I don't think that's a bad deal at all. See the post above yours for the truck I paid 38,200 for.

 

That's ~11% off MSRP.

The real question is can you negotiate/BS a lower price? What are you going to bring to the table to make them reduce the offer?

That's the thing my first car is a salvage title I bought for cheap and fixed up so this is my first time buying at a dealer and I have no idea-ish on what I'm doing

 

Do your homework on line (like Edmonds) as to what others are paying. Then go to more that one dealer - get their lowest quote and pit them against each other. Also, if you are planning a trade in - don't let them know until you have gotten them down as low as you possibly can, then mention the trade-in and the amount that you must have for it.
The local dealer that I went to recently had an Internet Sales building, off to one side. It seemed like they had more flexibility with regards to pricing, than the salesmen on the main floor.

Finally have a Tacoma back in the stable after selling our 2011 TRD Sport AC 4 years ago.
Went with an SR 4x4 DCSB AT in MGM
Tow package and floormats were about the only upgrades. (Wanted it as basic as I could get).

I though this was a pretty good deal for a 4x4 in San Diego.

 

Think I came up on a steal, waiting to finalize the deal today or tomorrow.

17 TRD OR 4x4 AT DCLB w/ tech package and JBL for $25.3k drive out after trading in my 03 2WD DCSB w/ 163k miles.

 

Taxes and fees? Trade in value? $25.3k alone means little.

 

I’ve thought this has been discussed in length in this thread, taxes and fees are different for many states....some have none, some have high rates, some have little. Texas is 6.25%.....I’m just looking at the bottom line. To me trade in really never mattered because dealers skew the numbers to make it look better....at least in my experience. They offered me $5k for my truck initially and went to $6k. Based upon the condition it’s in, I’d say the absolute most I could get for it is 8.5k on Craigslist.....after sifting through all of the low ballers and taking a while to sell it. And that’s getting a serious interested buyer in an almost 15 year old 2WD truck.

Considering I bought the 03 recently (had to due to hurricane Harvey, needed something reliable fast) and paid taxes and registered it for $7k total and I’d be adding $25.3k to get the new Tacoma, I’d say $32.3k is a great deal on an OR 4x4 LB w/ tech package. Basically $30k before taxes and various fees.

 

Yes it's been discussed...nobody is familiar with the tax rate in a state they don't reside in. That's why I asked about vehicle only numbers. You got a steal so congrats.

just picked up my new 17 DCLB TRD OR in magnetic grey with premium+JBL for 37,500. Came after using dealer vs dealer and was able to work the best deal from my local with the added bonus of their lifetime drive train warranty. I was hesitant because so many people were talking about the lack of power, but after coming from my 84 4runner with the die-hard 22r, I am stoked with the extra power I have now.

Sale pending on a 2017 SR5 DCLB 4X4 in Super White (040?).

Sale Price: 33,344.20 (+PA sales tax; tags; title)

Visited 3 dealers and that's the best price after negotiating. This includes all weather flr mats, door edge guard, exhaust tip, mudguards; and wheel locks. Honestly, I couldn't care less about the extras and it adds extra $, but all the dealers I visited here in SE PA have these included in the SR5 price.

Delivery is Monday, as the dealer did not have the truck on the lot. Cautiously optimistic. Going from a 2001 civic to a 2017 Tacoma, so there will be adjustments i'll have to get use to, but i'm pretty stoked.
