Mickey Thompson Classic II ??

Anyone have these wheels on their TACO? If so post em up! Looking to get a pair 17x9 6x5.5 4 1/2 back spacing -12mm offset! They look killer!

Also looking at:

moto metal 909 skulls
moto metal 955
XD revolvers (chrome or black)

 

For Gen II Tacomas, -12 offset won't fit. You need stock #379413 with 0 offset.

I had them on mine.

 

are you saying ANY -12mm wheel won't fit....or just the -12mm Mickey Thompson Classic IIs?

I was under the impression ANY wheel with these specs would fit our second gen tacos:

16x8 OR 17x9
6x5.5 Bolt Pattern
4.5 back spacing
-12mm offset

I'm saying that stock#379412, 17 x 9 -12mm offset wheels do not fit without spacers or shaving your calipers. They're made for GM 6 lugs and hit the caliper on a Tacoma. I tried a set of those too.

Wheel specs depend a lot on the design of the wheel so no, not all but Tacomas generally are best at 0 offset from what little I know...which ain't much.

Edit - The 16 x 8 Classic II's have the same problem of hitting the caliper. I've seen them mounted on Gen II's but with shaved calipers.....

 

ahhhh...there was a reason i have not seen many with these wheels on TW.

Guess I'm back to 909's 955's or XD revolvers!

i have 16" which ought to be harder to clear.

specs are 3 5/8" bs 16x8" on an '08 v6



using gorilla e/t lug nuts. no issues

 

You shouldn't have a problem. Mine don't touch the caliper.

 

whatever you do, dont buff those wheels, they have a very thin protectant on them and once that is polished off, they stain like a m*f* and are hard as hell to clean...

i know from experience, if you know what i mean...

why are none of you guys running the center caps?

 

That's why you do this... No problem with the finish now.

 

Because the MT centercaps are huge an are ugly as sin
