I've been looking into a tundra brake upgrade for my truck. Can anyone verify if 16x8 (0 offset) level 8 mk6 wheels will fit?

I have the same spec wheels and they fit over my 13wl Tundra brakes. You should be good to go.

I feel like I remember reading a specific reason why this is significant? Am I crazy? 1st Gen fronts for tundra brakes?

I guess I could just go read you stuff...

As others have said, yeah. I wasn't about to remove the rack to do it. Not a chance. And as for the sway bar, removing it would probably yield more room, but I don't recall it being in the way so I just left it. I do recommend getting a clamp that opens wide and/or a hammer. The bolt that slides through the big horizontal bushings on the driver side might be slightly too big to go through the sleeve. I had this issue, and I've read others have as well. Took far more effort to get it through than I'd have expected.

I just read his tundra Brake portion of his thread. What would you pay for a stock spare wheel/ tire?

Here's the post (very bottom) where I detail difference in 16" spares and why it matters.

No idea on cost, but I'd guess around $25-50 each if you get them on CL. Mine are borrowed from @drr until I install my Stealth6's or he wants them back :)

OEM Part # is 42601-0C010, and are ~$110 new.

Yes... the bushing on the driver's side (big horizantal) did seem a bit too large to get started. The old bushing (big horizantal) has an attached washer, so it will only push out the front. If you were able to get that out without removing the sway bar (to get enough room between the rack and cross member) props to you... I didn't see how it was going to happen. So I removed th he sway bar (figured it wasn't that hard to do anyway) But then I wished I would have bought the Energy Suspension sway bar bushing kit... lol

New Philips VisionPlus Upgraded Bulbs and new Baja Design Squadron Sports with the Amber Driving/Combo Lens are in. My old headlight bulbs were super dull and borderline unsafe to drive with at night. Safe to say this is definitely going to help with the driving at night.

I went with TRW. I liked the fact that they are greasable. They were around $40 per side

Its the Fluorescent green from Wal Mart. The picture doesn't show how bright they actually are.
