Oh I agree I can't stand Gary, just cracks me up what different fans hear. To most, he has a hard on for Bama, to Bama fans, he hates them.

 

As many people have stated these past few weeks have been playoff games. Not sure how hard it is to explain but yes, Alabama does have to win games to get into playoffs, they dont just get in cause they are Alabama....They also wont get in cause Auburn whooped dat azzzzz

lololololol. that's what I said...I mean if Auburn wins SECCG and goes to the playoff, is LSU not an automatic birth too since they beat them? Seems right to me.

Troy should be #2, right behind South Alabama.

Criticize them maybe but not bash. He has referred to Alabama as "We've got to" several times this year. We do that if we are pulling for or are a fan of said team. I don't say Liverpool must get a goal or Auburn must get a touchdown when talking to friends. I say "We've got to score" because I feel I'm with them. A supporter.

While I like that at least we get some sort of a playoff, I think this year is going to set up some major complaints from folks. There are going to be so many teams that have 1-2 losses that it's going to be hard to find anyway to reasonably argue one team in over another. It's going to be so much of "If 'X' team made it due to 'this' argument, then 'Y' team should be in for the same reason" that I really don't see any good answer for anyone.

IMO, the only lock is Clemson... and they have one defeat by a not-so-great team. I would even question Wisconsin if the schedule issue is played (same w/ Bama). Not saying that the BCS was any better, but I do see some changes coming after this year. Just see it coming, not saying it will, though.

Alabama should have beat Auburn. I've stated before that with the current play off system, no conference championship, not playoff spot.

Alabama is out. Should be.

It just so happens, once every few years, Auburn either plays championship caliber football or they have an answered prayer.

 

Not whining either and I do realize that we lost to a one loss team last year as you said. I just have a hard time anyone arguing a team, no matter who, if they have 1-2 losses saying some loss to some team is better than someone else's loss to another team.

You win, you win... you lose, you lose. If Clemson fans can say that they laid an egg against Syracuse this season and they deserve to get in, then Bama should be in by the same argument...

But wait, Bama lost to Auburn who beat UGA (previous #1) and Auburn is in w/ 2 losses... wha??

I'm saying that anyone using some logical reasoning for Team A over Team B will open up that same argument for Teams C through G.

What bothers me is that I can realistically see 2 teams in w/ 2 losses... I don't like that.

 

I agree... I said earlier that Clemson was the only lock. I just have an issue if OSU and Auburn both make it w/ 2 losses. Guess that's another reason I'm pulling for UGA this weekend. Makes some of the argument go away.

 

Bama has played slightly above average all season. Bama could realistically be 9-3 right now with losses to LSU, Mississippi State and Auburn. I don't see any way they get in unless something crazy happens.
