Hey guys, just picked up a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road and have been lurking the forums for the past week. There is a lot of great information and after being in a Camry the past 8 years I am really looking forward to having a truck again and my first 4x4!

I've already bought and installed the TRD Pro grill and pasti-dipped the badges. Next I am looking to lift it. At first I was just going to do the 3" Rough Country spacers but I know quality stuff is going to cost more. The concern I had with just switching to the 5100 shocks is that I figure once they settle I will lose most of the lift. I don't really have the 2k+ to spend on Fox/ICON/King and honestly I think it would be overkill for me. Especially for now since I am just getting into the 4x4.

Any recommendations would be extremely helpful. I look forward to being part of these forums for years to come!

    Sac native.

As for the lift, you can pair the 5100s with Other coils and you won’t lose any lift. It will settle but not enough to go back to stock height
I’m running 5100s with Emu 886 coils and they’re great

Bay area rep! Seriously there's no bay area meetups or anything. If anyone is looking to do some trips I've got some on my radar that I'm looking for people to join me on...

5100s on zero setting with 887s here. Love the ride and 3" up front after settling.
