Does anyone have any experience wiring led strips in their leer cap? The strips I ordered have a switch and I want them to be hooked to a constant hot wire so I can turn on anytime without the key in. I don't know if I can go to trailer harness or if the battery is my best bet? I'm not experienced with car wiring

    Well hot damn
What can you tell me? I ordered 2 60 inch mictunning strips that I'd like to have on each side connected to one switch that's on a hot wire. Keep in mind I'm a novice but I think I can figure it out with some help

I have mine wired to a fuse panel which is wired directly to the battery. The switch is in the cab in the rear most sunglass holder:

I want the switch in the cap and how do you run the wires all the way to the back?

I ran the wires through the cab to a grommet under the rear passenger seat and then along the inside of the frame rail up into the bed.
