AOP or windrock for me. Although, both are a long way for you.

I really really want to check out Windrock. Dave and I had talked about going this summer, but never did.

Possible run brewing @ Red River Gorge (in Ky) this Saturday. I know that's a hell of a drive, but it is free and some awesome trails.

Dry Creek? What's this? Any trail riding west of Nashville is gonna be a lot like LBL trails.

 

I've got a buddy in a T4R that goes there from time to time...pretty much trail ride back to a waterfall etc.

Its an old abandon RXR tunnel you can wheel through and around. It's in the Catoosa Wild life area towards Wind Rock ish area

Looks worth trying out. Preferably with someone that's been there before maybe.

 

I'm sure he'd look forward to going...I'll ask him if it'd make a good day trip and worth the drive.

BUT! People are dropping off like flies left n right.

 

Looks cool. However, that's not really what I'm looking for. The thing that has drawn me to wheeling in the challenge. Driving down dirt roads isn't fun anymore because my truck and my driving capabilities have outgrown it. Fortunately, both my truck and myself are still in their infant stages of wheeling. Places like AOP provide endless challenges. Tons of things that I will struggle with or fail at completely. Some of them will be a lost cause, but some I will overcome while learning how to be a better driver, and/or in what area my truck is lacking (usually driver probs haha). It's so fun to me to try something cool, something that scares me and overcome it. Likewise, failing at something and learning from it is great too. I am so far from being a good driver its crazy, but I want to get there. That's why I'm looking for the challenge.

The awesome thing about the spring LBL meet is that its a great spot for everyone to get comfortable driving. It's free, there's a very slim chance of damaging anything, and those mud pits are enough to push the nerves of the inexperienced. When I first attended three years ago, the "wheeling" there was awesome, because I was brand new at it. It's still a ball now because of the party that ensues. Haha.

 

But are the trout biting?
