I see them sneaking in if Clemson, Oklahoma or Wisconsin lose. One would assume the winner of Auburn/Georgia will be in. If Clemson, Oklahoma and Wisconsin all win, Alabama will sit this one out. Imagine the problem if Miami was still undefeated o_O I kinda wish they were. @stronghammer knows why. It starts with the letter C :D

I just don't understand reading the comments or articles right now. They are all over the place.

Most seem to agree Auburn is at/near the top right now because of how they're playing, even with a sad loss to a lowly LSU.

But then teams like Clemson (loss to lowly Syracuse) and Oklahoma (loss to ISU) everyone is like "bleh meh complain don't count them those are weak". then people are disregarding Wisconsin who's undefeated....idc if they played the weakest, going undefeated in Power 5 is HUGE.

So folks are ok looking back and saying that Auburn wasn't the same team when they lost to LSU, but I'll be damned if you say FSU sucked even when Bama played them. Then you get the comments "Georgia was overrated they were never #1 in the country" ok....so FSU was never #3. Man being an SEC fan I haven't seen it as much as I do now, but there is some bias in the football world towards SEC for sure.

Obviously this weekend will decide a lot of things, but man people are hypocrites.

I think you need two of those three to lose for Bama to have a shot

Idk...with the way things go for Bama I see the rankings being this:

    1. Clemson
    2. Oklahoma
    3. Wisconsin
    4. Auburn
    5. Alabama
    6. Georgia

basing that on the comparison of the Bama/Auburn and Georgia/Auburn games. If Georgia wins SECCG they jump Alabama and go. If Clemson, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin lose and Auburn wins...Alabama will scoot in right behind Auburn and whichever team lost will fall to 5th.

If Clemson loses to Miami would you not slide them in at #4? I don't see the ACC champ getting left out which is why I think you need two losses

Clemson would then have 2 losses if they lose to Miami. Therefore I believe they fall behind a 1 loss Alabama.

I meant Miami at 4, as the ACC champ

Ooooooo I didn't even see that, I thought they had fallen farther or had 2 losses already....good point. I think you're right about that. With how the committee "says" championships matter I think you're right.

The biggest ???? is Wisconsin. If they lose but Clemson, Oklahoma, and Auburn win....I think Alabama slides into place and OSU stays left out because they have 2 losses. the strength of the big10 would come into question.

I used to like Gary, but he's started irritating me lately. The comparisons of Jalen to Cam are absolute nonsense. I actually yelled "shut the hell up" at the TV when he said that.

I think there are only two locks... the winner of the SECC and winner of the ACCC.

Oklahoma is out if they lose to TCU, and TCU can't win their way in.
Wisconsin doesn't go if they lose to tOSU, and tOSU isn't guaranteed a spot if they win b/c of their 2 losses. (I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying I don't think they're a lock.)

As an Alabama fan, my team is (rightly) on the outside looking in... as such, I'm rooting for CHAOS in the championship games! I'll be pulling for Miami, TCU, Georgia, and tOSU.

No kidding. I'm basically staying away from football until Saturday when I'll be hoping for

I think (hope?) you're right, depending on how the game goes. If tOSU bets them by 40, I wouldn't bet on them getting left out in favor of Alabama. If they win by a touchdown, the committee might look at their two (bad) losses and compare them to Alabama's loss to the SEC W champ and who knows what might happen.

    Also, COME ON HORNED FROGS!!!

I don't know if people are hypocrites, but everyone has an opinion. Since I live in SEC country, most all I hear is SEC info. Unless you're Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin (this year), Clemson, FSU, Oklahoma, Southern Cal, and maybe TCU and/or Baylor, I don't seem to hear much. Is that bias? Maybe, but I can't help that what I hear is stuff from where I am.

I dunno how all this will fall out. We still have one more week to play and even then, I would only guess more of this debate will continue.

I will say this... I don't care who you are, playing any team, any time, in their home stadium is rough. If you factor in that many of those are rival games, either side could win. I hate when Bama has to play in Death Valley and Jordan-Hare... no matter how down of a year either of those teams is having, that game is usually very tough. Same w/ Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, MSU and other folks from the Big Ten. Sorry, don't watch much ACC or the other folks either.

Glad to see LSU rebound, though... I like Coach O, just don't think he's a ton better than Miles. We will see.

I haven't yet. I plan to. I saw it drop late Saturday but it was too soon!

Edit: I'm talking about the Funny Maine video. I haven't seen the AL.com video either.

Don't get me started. That drive gave me hope. I thought "FINALLY" they feel like they've softened up the defense enough they're going to get back to running the damn ball... and clearly it worked. But no...

Adding to the comic that is UT football right now Jason Whitten says he’ll hang up his cleats to coach them.

Was gonna post a link but can’t find it now right off.

Alabama fans are like ohio state fans, they have a lot to be proud of but they just can't accept the fact they aren't the best team all the time.
