    Time for a Reality Check

OK, lurkers and wafflers, this is kind of driving me nuts. :goingcrazy:

It is time to take action on this rare and apparently difficult group buy discount. :quickdraw:

Lots of people are agonizing about the cost, but won't take the action necessary to help bring it down. The more people who make the decision to do this, the more we can save. If we got committment and more people, we can reach 15% off rather than only 10%, making it even cheaper.

The short list of committed people does not inspire others. As a result, it looks less attractive to others. Catch 22. :frusty:

I know folks are trying to figure out what else this might mean for their front end too. I get that. Remember, you can deal with the rear end first while the discount is available. Then go after the front end later. Pace yourself. Don't get overwhelmed.

We all have our own financial issues to deal with, too. I respect that.

If you have questions, I strongly encourage you to call Dan at Wheelers and ask for his help on your particular situation. He is there to help.

    (541) 474-2879

To sum up, you have a problem to fix. If you don't want lifted offroad-specific leafs, your options are:
    1. Join the group buy, save at least 10% if not 15% on these spec. Alcan springs from Wheelers. No sales tax.
    2. Don't join the group buy and pay full price later.
    3. Pay a lot more (plus tax) for custom Alcans directly from Alcan.

Oh and I think we should all make our sigs like Blake 1012. That might help advertise.

You can just copy and past from my sig because Blakes has a link to his fuelly lol. I made mine a link to the group buy.

:woot: But you should still copy and past from my sig because mine is a link to the page while blakes is a link to his fuelly. The sig was a great idea though, thanks blake!

Sorry, I just can't do it. $40 discount just isn't that much for me to pull the trigger on the deal. It's one of those things, I save $40 and the company makes $4000+. Just not all that appealing... GL getting another few people in the next week though

..... Well you can always go get springs from Toyota... think they're only about $800 :D
Hell the local shop quoted me $283 PER side for stock springs, plus NY state tax, plus I have to drive an hour to get 'em. I'm still paying less even with the freight from Wheelers.

Saving $40 is saving $40.. especially now.Unless of course your wife is standing behind you, in which case... nya nya. :D:D:crapstorm:

True... 40 is 40... but $40 isn't enough to force me to upgrade now as opposed to 3 months from now.

Working now:D I just made mine so the actual text is the link to the page.

And to fuzzyman, I probably won't install until the summer when we build our shop but this price is probably never going to happen again so I figure I might as well get them now. Just my thinking behind it.

I'm getting them regardless, but the price drop would make it all the sweeter.
What I'm wondering is where all the people who complained about axle wrap and sagging springs in the original discussion thread are?

And as steve o said.. get 'em now, save yourself the money and put 'em up somewhere. :D

Two of us are still here but still weighing the options. We both are going to do something, just not sure what. Likely the 5 spring options is what we are heading towards.

    The kicker...

Did not realize that I am literally 15 minutes from Deavers. Being so close and being able to pick up similar springs means i have to weigh that option as well and what that would cost.

Alcan -> Part Cost -discount + shipping + no tax. + phone support = ??

    vs.

    Deavers -> Part cost+ tax + no discount +no shipping + face to face support = ??

    So.... still on the fence.

Sorry to thread hijack but is anybody interested in wheelers springs from northeast? I have them and my truck is gone :( I never had chance to put them on. I kept them thinking I will get 1gen truck but that seems unlikely. I will probably get another LC

I just posted a thread on TN about the group buy. We'll see if it brings some more people.
