You do know you are paying them to sell your information?

If you google "dna testing selling data" all of the usual names show up. Theres no real regulation on it. I just did a project on it in an ethics class.

It's an ethics class I got a A. The only people who fail just don't show up

 

They still sell the information lol also even though the Genetic information nondiscrimination act passed in 2008, protects you from your employer and health insurance, it does not cover everything. If you download your raw data and upload it to a 3rd party site to help understand the data that website may not adhere to the HIPAA regulation.

It's just my personal opinion I originally thought it was a cool idea but I won't do it anymore after doing my class project. I don't mean to fear monger, this is the internet and we're talking about the most personal bit of information.
