Zero. I’m fine with the mall crawler label. This is going to be a DD. I just like that they are slightly bigger than BFGs and fill the wheel well better.

I’ve seen a few trucks in person with 285/75/16s and it may just be me but they don’t look quite as big as they do in the photos. I expected them to be wider.

They are less than an inch wider than the stock tires (265 mm versus 285 mm). It also depends on how wide of a wheel you mount them on, looks-wise.

Huh. I also thought about 295/75r16 BFG KO2s...they’re only 1/4 taller supposedly but a good but wider. I just don’t want to have to trim to fit.

I was just curious cause I heard someone at my school say that they had 33x12.50s and they sure looked a lot narrower than my 33x12.50x15s.

I’ve been running a 7” wide wheel with my current set for years. I have a set of 8” waiting around for a new set.

The width definitely makes it rub more. I still rub pretty well after the pinch weld mod and more and mine are 12 wides.

I have duratracs in 285, then KO2's in 295 but decided to go with STT Pro's in 285 since the 295's rub the frame a lot with my current wheels offset. The difference in width is definitely noticeable between 285 and 295.

@Shortman5 If you're going for looks and don't plan to wheel then why not go with a 295 or 305 since you want to fill the wheel wells more.

I only ask as the MTR as one of the most expensive tires you can buy. Plus they don't last very long. Wear bad and are loud AF on the highway.

If you just mall crawl, id save some money and get a different tire...any tire really.

Yeah @Okiyota has a set of some sweet tires. The Maxxis Razrs. Although they’re 285/75r17 they look a hell of a lot bigger than most. And they only come in 17” sizes. The spec sheet says they’re both a bit taller and wider than competitors. I just don’t have the cash for 17” SCS wheels and new tires right now.

I’m not sure if he did any trimming but it looks like his flares are fully in tact on pics.

Yeah they are expensive as hell. I’m just looking around. Im not really sure what I’m going to do. But that is I enough info to make me rethink a purchase.

I was referring to the Goodyear MTRs in 285/75r16.

Has anyone swapped clusters with the cable driven speedo? Wondering if I’m gonna be able to find a cluster with that and a tach or if I should just get a scangauge or something.
