Fantastic! Thank you. I was going to get the Micro Minnie 1706FB (for the bigger fridge) with the Taco. But, after reading all the complaints about towing and shifting I have been really hesitant.

We needed the bunk beds and bike storage. I was worried about the fridge size, but as it turns out the smaller size has not really been an issue. I have towed the camper all over Colorado (mt passes @11k and above) all through California, Utah, and Arizona. I use the ECT mode when towing and have an equalizer weight distribution hitch. I also use the prodigy wireless RF brake controller. I just got back from McDowell Mtn in AZ. I avg’d about 11.1 mpgs. I was loaded too. I have a cap, two bikes and misc items in back of the truck, camper was loaded for 8 days of camping and had two bikes in it. The trailer is 3,000 lbs dry. I stopped at the port of entry in Monticello UT last year and weighed the trailer on the scale on our way for a 3 week trip. The trailer came in at 3,780. I avg’d about the same mpg’s on that trip too. Maybe a bit better.

Rode for the first time at Eagle Mountain in full purple power ranger regalia (jersey, pitvipers, bike) and broke 10 trail PRs in 2 hours. I may be on to something...

There's a late-model Pontiac GTO, the Australian Holden Monaro kind, on our local Craigslist that's purplish-black with dark purple leather upholstery. I can send you the link if you want a matching car.

Yep, Ive Built wheels for a LONG time. I was working in bike shops at the ripe young age of 14. I Built wheels for Industry Nine for a number of years, and was their service manager for a few years too... and RE: your next post... I Have a Jackal too! https://psbmx.com/2017/08/29/bike-the-day-drews-santa-cruz-jackal/ I've never made it to Rays but I hope to before the winter is over.

Decent, and nice bike, I have seen your build before.

I have not assembled a complete custom bike in a few years and it seems my tools fell behind the times a little, so my OCD of this build is flaring up. Its all ridiculous small stuff like my Park headset press did not work well on the tapered CK headset, so the lower headset cup logo rotated a couple degrees past centered, and stupid stuff like that bothers me. I plan to give the bike a beating tomorrow and see if the small stuff still bothers me.

And I am looking forward to Rays Cleveland a bunch. Couple friends and I were at Milwaukee a few years ago, which has since closed. Couple of us are doing a weekend in Cleveland, then stop in Detroit for a hockey game for a monday night and then back to the west/best side of Michigan.

    DD5EDF3B-048A-4BDA-87A5-BACEBFB77C78.jpg

And this DJ is excessive for sure, I got a bit carried away. All bearings/hubs are Chris King, carbon crankset, RS Pike DJ, full Raceface and SDG for the rest. Had to rep the local to me with Velocity wheels located intown for their hoops and build. Also put some Shimano Zee brakes F&R for heavy clamp power so I can try some street trials.

I am looking at a Paul hub and some HED rims for my first true wheel build sometime this winter.

@machspeed - I like the color combo, dark green with gumwall tires. :D

Mine is a commuter bike that gets me to and from work (usually 3 times a week) or is used for fitness. No pics of it in the Taco since I just lay it down in the bed under my tonneau.

That's pretty sweet man! I wish I lived close enough to work that I could feasibly bike it. I COULD do it, but it would be a heck of a pedal / maze to get there safely.

It's a tough ride when I'm heading to work (have to climb a huge hill during the entire last mile), but it's fun as hell when I go the other way! No matter how easy or hard a route might be, it's really how bad is the vehicular traffic that is #1 concern when riding.

For as big a presence of bikers both road and mountain in UT is, I would categorize native Utahans as overall hostile to bikers. Provo and Orem are actually becoming really supportive of bike lanes, etc so it is turning around, but getting coal rolled and otherwise endangered isn't worth it.

But the middle 10 miles would be singletrack-ish dirt/gravel so I might do it one day just to say I did. Rolling hills the whole time, but do it for a few weeks and you would be carved out of wood.
