Any of you guys on 35s regret not going 37s? Im thinking about just skipping 35s for the 37s. Could I pull off 37s with 4:88s? I’m getting really tired of how my 33s look with my fiberglass! I will probably wimp out and get the 35s though:(

Okay so I've been on 35s for a couple years now. Stock gears and 4.88s. Daily driven and crawled. Honestly 35s and 4.88s is an awesome combo for the 4cyl. I'm a standard tho so it's different.
I heard they're coming out with 5.29s for our trucks which I may try out one day

But to the 35 vs 37 topic, 37s are a bitch honestly. You have to literally cut into the cab. Not just the mount. And weld new tubs in the front. The rear would be easier but more cutting obviously.

I can't speak on how the stock drivetrain will handle 37s but I have beat the shit out of my truck on 35s and still haven't even snapped a CV or tie rod so I'd say it's safe to wheel 35s on stock components. I'm honestly scared to go 37s because I don't want to go too big and start snapping CVs or break diffs.

I strictly wheel my truck now and have the flat bed and it's almost time for new tires and I'm going to get another set of 35s rather than jump to 37s. So that's how much I love 35s if it helps.

Others may have other opinions and experiences but if you ask me... 35s and 4.88s. But you may get 37s and never have a problem besides getting them to fit lol. So do what you want in the long run.

You'll also need to relocate your cab mount for 37s

Legally on paper no. I would need to go negative tire size from factory just to compensate for the lift

If you have to lift to carry loads, you're doing it wrong lol

2" of overall lift (or lowered), body, suspension, and tire combined

That just means your stock components can't handle the load. You can get stronger components without lifting. That's like saying 18wheelers should be lifted sky high since they haul so much weight.

It works. Like yea you can throw a 6" lift leaf pack in the rear and technically carry more weight cause you have more room for the weight to settle but with the proper leafs or air bags, you can haul the same weight at the stock height.

of course but most people willing to spend the money to change components will end up lifting their trucks whether its for looks or function

I was just talking about this with a local off road shop. There are formulas written into the mass laws about this. For 2 wheel drive vehicles there is a 2" lift and lower laws however for us fortunate 4x4 owners there is a formula. Our trucks are clear for 3" of lift and tires that are 3" bigger than the largest tire offered from the factory on the make and model of your vehicle from the same year. I just found out about this last week and already had a set 35s on order unfortunately we can only legally run 33s. there is allegedly a tolerance of 1"...the biggest problem I am hearing about is anything out of the norm shops are refusing to inspect for fear of losing there inspection license. There are all kinds of other things the state is cracking down on too including that your tires must sit inside the wheel well and your exhaust can be no louder than stock I am pretty sure no CAI anymore the list goes on...all in all ridiculousness

@tacobell007 our biggest issue will be tire size and making wheel wells cover our tires going to have to get creative with some fender flares
As of right now @tacoburrito you should be good dude

I used to have the actual mass state law section on this but cannot find it at the moment found this in a quick search...I don't ever remember reading anything on how they measure lift height though

Better keep 33s just for inspections. I’ve had a hard time with mine in the past about sticking out further than the wheel wells. Always passed though

Exhaust has always been that way... TRD cat back is a factory option though. I don't get how they can say CAI are not allowed, but you can get a factory optioned S/C
