    The warranty problems being a separate issue, with 100k miles I would just find a used engine at a junk yard from a wrecked truck and have that installed. I suspect that would be cheapest option

    I am with wheeliest on this and appreciate jboudreaux1965 post.

    Hope you get your engine fixed or a new one. I was once a college student and remember how tight money was. Heck it is still tight I guess some things never change. Rick

    I appreciate the info revealed here! My truck has never seen the inside of a dealership since it was sold, and now it damn sure never will. I'm mostly happy with my truck, but I've pretty much come to the conclusion that Toyota is not a company that I want to do business with. This revelation is just one of many reasons for that opinion.
