Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I know I haven't been on much at all but damn I am busy coaching 2 teams as well as my normal job...

It was a year ago this past weekend I finally got to meet a lot of you on my first HiddenFalls trip (where aforementioned dent occurred).

Anyway, sometime in March or April I will be due for new tires. I plan to do my lift at the same time ( @Texoma). After that I will definitely be looking to hit HiddenFalls again. When I have a free weekend from coaching that is...

Just a few photos from this weekend at Hidden Falls. Had a great time with @CedarPark and he helped me out spotting me through some stuff the first day with the skinny legs.

 

Waiting at the dealership for my 20k service and get a busted tire replaced... 1 hour down, truck has yet to enter the shop

Apparently, those Kevlar Goodyears were discontinued as standard issue. They have to special order a replacement. But at least it's covered so I won't have to pay for it.


Also, in looking over the truck when taking it in they made a note of "scratches everywhere"

 

There’s an FJ with plate front and rear bumpers dealing with having been rear-ended by a Nissan Frontier right now. Didn’t see any damage on th FJ...but the front end of the Nissan is FUBAR.

 

LOLOL...I wonder why? I finally took a look a look at my passenger side in the daylight.

Yep. You're getting 1 new one - you could have a place like Discount swap your spare onto a regular rim (and one of your current tires onto the spare), mount the one from @Tynan...and have 3 out of 4 new tires against the road.

Installed a fridge in the truck, and swapping out to a Group 31M battery cage from Pelfreybilt. Just jumped into Ramon's group buy for the Northstar batteries...and we got it to the Tier 2 GB status:

Welp, SCS new inventory come and gone. I was quick enough, 5 gold 17's in the cart with PayPal info entered within a few seconds of them being available.


Couldn't go through with it though. I feel like those rims are just screaming "steal me!" Maybe if I didn't live in south Texas...

I can attest for the 31m, all 96#'s of it. Great battery.

 

Actually - after seeing yours up at the overlook, that was pretty much my inspiration for looking into it. I like the dual sets of poles on the battery...makes it waaaaay easier to hook up accessories.

With the fridge, I get about ~12hr on the stock battery before hitting 10.5V...I'm wanting to push that up to 24hr+ with the 31M.

So tools to do ring n pinion work will be in late this week or early next week. Got the 8.4" non elocker rear, 8" elocker rear, and 8" front clamshell to play with.
