No I’m stoked its been a long expensive road but I finally have almost all parts for this forced induction build. I’m chugging along just gotta get a few odds and ends here and there when i get there. But all major components are in my possession or on way and engine bay is stripped clean so its a good day

Tried to explain to the wife, again, how good of a deal that cap was, thanks to @jethro's and @Pugga's input from earlier today. This is the reaction I got: "Who said that, hmm?? Your Toyota buddies?? Of course.. yeah... right... no."

LMAO! Don't worry Drew, she saw it that night you stopped by. She was being nosy and looked out the window. Let's just say that she wasn't "impressed" and actually "frowned upon" it a bit. LMAO!

 

What did she have to say? Hahaha

 

LOL! So when we got back, I asked her if she saw it. She said yeah, with a snarky tone, and said that I better not get any ideas. LOL!

Said she didn't see the point in doing all of that, and that she doesn't "get it". WOMANS!

 

Haha did you explain the part about having 2 trucks and 1 is set up for having fun out in the woods? That would have been the icing on the cake right there haha

 

Dude!!!!! When I mentioned that, she literally gave me the stink eye and walked away. Hahaha! I'll never forget her reactions and expressions that night. I will say that she's liking you a bit better/more since you offered to help when we had the problems with the Mazda, even though she thought it was "weird" that a "stranger" would offer to help out. She doesn't get the "concept" of TW, and what it's all about unfortunately. I've tried to explain it to her a bunch of times, but she just doesn't get it.

I think she would. Might take a lot of convincing and perfect timing to bring her to something, but I think once she meets everyone she'll get it... Hopefully.

 

It just takes talking to people usually to understand what we are about. I know once people talk to me they understand why I offer to do things (like fix your car)

 

Seriously. I can attest to that. You're a super cool guy and I'm sure as hell glad I got to meet you in person and shoot the shit for a bit. @DoubleRGirl is another one, @DrFunker, @mach1man001, @Boston10Taco, @Dgibson529, the list goes on and on. And same goes for all the ones that I haven't met in person yet, but am lucky enough to interact with on here on a daily basis. Same goes for the CT peeps I've met, and interact with. This place is a community. A place to meet people, develop friendships with, share knowledge and obtain knowledge. May sound corny and stupid, but it really is like a family.

 

For sure buddy, I have met some people on here that I hangout with on a regular basis. One guy I met on here, who isn't active anymore, I have been friends with for about 6 years

 

Same, mine doesn't get my concert obsession either. She's okay about truck stuff to a point because she had a red 96.
