What's up TW! I'm new here but I've owned 1gen Tacos the past 9 years and 4Runner bedore that.
Just bought a 2012 Blk Baja and love it! Just browsing for all the cool mods and experience and humor here! Thanks All!
Yes it's a bit sluggish compared to my 1st gen... knew it going into it. Hope to tweak or chip it soon.
Any one have one of these?
Curious on actual results of "pedal responsiveness"

All that thing does is simply amplify the pedal signal.... depending on the "map" you put it in it ramps differently. It only simulates pressing the pedal further. It does not make more power.

Needless to say its a gimmick.

    Welcome to TW!

As mentioned above, it is a gimmick and just emulates you pushing the pedal further, which you can do yourself.

Does your truck have the original suspension and tire setup?

It has the original suspension and wheels. The tires are new when I bought the truck Sunday. Some off brand AT's
Wish they put the BFG's back on.
Now that the roads were dry today, I got to stomp on it a lot more. I must say it has more power and pep then my 1st gen. But holy Shnarf those brakes are touchy! Damb near made my wife kiss the windshield!

It is because the Off Road/Baja/Pro have electronically boosted brakes to support ATRAC.

Your tires can actually be a notable factor in pep, the KOs the truck originally came with were discontinued and were not that light anyway. If they put heavy E-load tires on, instead of lighter C-load or lightest P-load tires (like all other Tacomas, save the Pro) it will feel a little more sluggish.
