I have a new 2002 PreRunner and it has factory fog lights however when I turn my regular head lights on, it doesn't activate my fog lights. I can't find a switch or button which activates them. Does anyone know what I am missing?

Yeah those little lights in your bumper are your blinkers.

They look like fog lamps but yes - they're turn signals. Sorry - this is my 1st Tacoma / or truck for that matter.

its ok but you can fix that problem and make the corner lights the blinkers and your bumper lights your fog lights. like most of the people on the forum have.

You probably don't have any either. Does your bumper have lights in it?

haha thats funny you thought the blinkers were fog lights. but i do wish toyota had manufactured them that way. there are a couple tutorials on here of how to rewire your lights so that you can make your parking lights your blinkers and the blinkers fog lights. just search fog light mod.

Do they actually do anything as far as lighting or is it just another light up front? I've seen the mod but can't see those lights actually doing anything...

Plus, fog lights are supposed to be low.

2nd gen 'fog light mod' people are making that light stay on all the time. I was just wondering if it accomplished anything besides burning out the bulb quicker.

I just did it to mine last weekend. They are not really that bright. I'm sure they help a little but I mainly did it for the looks.
