That could be a slippery slope it kinda depends on what kind of budget you have and what you want to do with your truck. There's sliders, skids, plate bumpers, or a winch. You could go small like raptor grill lights it all just depends

You can DIY it with LED bolt lights from Super bright LED or Oznium and create your own wiring harness it's simple or get a premade kit like @jeff b did which is great quality but a little more money.

Anyone here have luck fitting a 285/70r17 tire in the spare well, or am I going to have to do some bending or a separate mount? It’s the Ridge Grappler I’m looking at in particular, so 32.76”. Figure I’d ask the pros here before I decide :p

The superbrightLED ones gave me no trouble, just drilling was a little tricky. Follow the link below and it is super simple.

And to shamelessly show off mine :D

Mine are the Super Bright LED ones as well. Off topic I hope you saw VT beat UVA Friday. It was an ugly game but a win is a win. We are waiting now to hear which bowl game they'll get. This is a weird season VT lost their asses to Miami and beat Pitt then Pitt just beat Miami

Looked like that thread was for 3rd gens, is the sound system (speaker sizes) the same? I just got out of a car with all aftermarket audio and subs and I'm looking to upgrade the taco sound system. Everything come apart the same?

Edit: I did some digging, seems its all the same. This may be my first mod! o.o

Yeah, the thread is for 3rd gen, but it seems upgrading the factory audio is a low budget DIY project. ********* has lots of videos on pulling apart the doors, installing the speakers, and sound dampening material. I spend most of my teen years and 20’s playing with car audio. The factory head units have come a long way since the 80’s and 90’s.

I haven’t installed anything yet because I’m waiting on my tweeter adapters from *********. And I need to find someone with a warm garage where I can do the project.

Money pit, this things at more like a black hole . I’m only putting money so we can get it running before the end of the year. Only waiting for my carburetor and finishing some wiring problems. I actually like the beat up look on it. So all the cosmetics are last on the list if I ever get to it

A picture of the Philips Crystal Vision Ultras I installed yesterday. Still 55 watt, just a white light instead of the yellowish color of the stock lamps. I really like them. Think it’s a good look

No I’ve written down what fuel levels have been at eat time and the truck has also been level so it’s been weird. I guess I’ll jusy wait for something to go wrong before I bother to dig any further. Even after a fuel pressure test we couldn’t come up with anything.
