I can't comment on whether or not 255/75r17 will rub, but 255/80r17 will definitely rub with those wheels. I don't personally run that set up, but a friend of mine does and he rubs pretty good.

sub'd because I was thinking of this same scenario. Been researching a lot on lifts, but may be easier for me to just get new wheels with new tires for a small lift due to tire size change.

for those of you running St Maxx tires, did you have any trouble spin balancing them? or did you get them Road force balanced right off the bat?

It looked like 255/85s would rub on my aftermarket mudflaps, so I went with 235/85/16s instead. They're a good compromise between stock and a taller tire, adding a bit more clearance. No rubbing. The 235/85s were cheap too, at $151 each after rebates (before tax and mounting) for BFG KO2s.

Thanks guys, it's probably the wider ones that have issues then!

Just installed yesterday... 255/85/16 Cooper St Maxx's on 2017 TRDOR on stock rims and suspension.

First impression- Loving' them so far! Impressively quiet for an aggressive all-terrain tire and plenty of tread to rip through slush, snow, dirt, etc.

I just got the same lift installed. I love the ride. Your truck looks good!

That tire size fits great with that lift. By rubbing?
