Hey. Wanna buy some drugs kid?

Stupid auto correct. I mean check out Air Zenith compressors. Higher CFM output at pressure with a single compressor and less power draw.

wouldn't 2 be twice as fast. you could do 2 tires at once the tank is a waste if you ask me it has its purpose but if I added a second viair I wouldnt hook it up to the tank but put it in the front and use it for airing front tires and the other for the rear tires.
if I was starting from scratch I would go with what jbery said an air Z or a dual arb.

Can't you fill the tank while still driving though? The fill from the tank reads as half the fill time than from the compressor istelf.

A tank gives you pre-fill volume. Once the tank is expelled, it's all compressor(s). That said, on my tank, I have my pressure switch set to shut off at 200 psi. So not only volume, but high pressure (think of it as squeezing more air into the same amount of space). So my first tire fill (a 35" tire going from single digits to 35 psi) takes about 45 seconds. The first fill is literally as fast as CO2.

I don't recommend ANY compressor regardless of brand that isn't 100% duty cycle when it comes to tire filling. You will never fill 4 tires, even 33's, and be able to fit within the duty cycle the compressor is rated for.
As long as a compressor is 100% duty cycle, yes, adding a second compressor will decrease fill times by half.

Again assuming 100% duty cycle, going back and forth between front and rear compressors with two separate air lines and two separate sources is silly IMO. Bridge the air sources and you're only walking around the truck one time.

For what it's worth, with my current air setup (air zenith and a 2 gallon tank with pressure switch shut off at 200 psi), the last slick rock trip I filled all 4 of my 35" tires and all 4 of @Gply's 33" tires in less time than some took to fill just their own 4 tires.

    Well said j.
Like jason said tank is only good for the first tire. I dont think my tank was rated that high. I think mine is 150 psi.
I have slso thought about going with a smaller tank and a second compressor. But after seeing guys with co2 fuck that im going with co2 and a smaller tank for the lockers.

i think enough has been said. butnif you go viair get two or dont go viair. the tank gives you a free tire when you get out and you can use a air chuck to blow stuff out.
