I got mine and was able to install it last night.
I will be using it as a parking assist system for right now, in time I want to use it at its full potential.
this is a really nice and best of all useful tool to add on as a mod to our Tacomas.
I want to thanks everyone who helped me out specially Hoangde.

Thanks I'm searching for something that brings similar quality as the factory backup camera does. So far I've gotten the wrong one sent, a defective one, and semi defective one, and now I'm waiting on the seller to replace the last.

Some of these cameras can be quirky and I'll bet the camera in the tailgate is cheap but that one works great.

base on my 3 day experience with my camera, I find it to be about the same as the tailgate. Specially at night, it could be
because of the headlights in the front and really not much illumination on the back.
It rained here on Sunday, so I did a test drive. Visibility was poor because of water on the camera glass. went home and put
some car polish hopping it will alleviate the issue, it was better but not perfect. Yet when you consider that for me the reason
is to assist me when parking, I believe this camera does the job.

I put some rain-x on mine (both the front and back camera), it seems to help.

Does this works with the SR5 model? Mine does not have Navigation. I like this.
    Thanks in advance.

This cable built based on pin out of Tacoma Head unit. Regardless of model number of 3rd Gen (SR, SR5, TRD ...etc.). With or without navigation, this cable will works on all of them.

Installed this cable harness on a few friends on 2014 and 2015 Tacoma model such as the image below, work like a charm.

Just out of curiosity, where are y'all pulling power for the front camera? Just tying straight into the batt?

I finally have everything to install. 1 question. For the 2 black wires does it matter which one goes to the green or red switch wires since they are both the same color? What is the difference in the 2 black wires?

Naw it don't matter. You're just connecting both sides of the black wires. If u twist the wires together you'll get the same effect of pushing the button. Then the other two wires from the switch are for the illumination side of the switch. To power the LED.

Was there a guide you followed for getting this part off? I like the placement but don't feel comfortable drilling in place.

    Thanks!

I just winged it. I think I saw a thread about modding the key barrel to get rid of the key bong.

Raise the steering wheel as high and toward the seat as far as it will go.

From center, turn the steering wheel 90deg to the left and you will see a fastener on the vertical face. Take that out. Turn the steering wheel 180deg to the right and remove the other fastener.

From there, you just need a spudger or other thin plastic tool to separate the lower cover from the top.

Flex it out from the key barrel and that should be it.

Don't drill the hole where I did on the first try. Use that upper hole in the pic.

To install, just flex it in place, press it together, and install the fasteners. Depending on how your routed the switch pigtail, you might need install the switch while the cover is almost in place. I used a socket to tighten the nut.

Route the wire around the steering wheel adjustment lever and the foot well heater outlet.
