Are my bumpstops too close to the frame?

Here is my set up for the rear
    All pro standard leaf
    Allpro u bolt flip kit
    Wheelers bumpstops
    Fox 2.0 with res
    Renlentless fab short bars
Cvt summit series mt bachelor tent about 100 lbs

As the truck sits in these pics 1/2 tank gas and tent. Nothing in the bed

My problem is I'm hittin my bumpstops in the rear just on average highway driving any dip in the road with just my tent I feel the back bouncing off the bump stop put any gear in the rear or two people in the back seat and it's basically rides the bump stop.
To me my bumpstops seem to be too close to the frame and I'm not getting enough uptravel. I dont feel I'm getting the lift I should be out of the springs but I only put them in in July...from a side view the truck sits about level I only adjusted the driver side coil to fix the taco lean. I contacted all pro about 2 weeks ago and haven't gotten a final response yet so I was wondering if this is about where the bump should be sitting or is the rear sitting low?

Please excuse the rugged fails I have falkens on backorder at the moment.

My bub to fender measures about correct from what I think 23 passenger and 22.5 driver side.

Those bumpstops are pretty big. I don’t think the oem ones are that high

yes.... between the 10 leaf stack, super bumps and the plate the super bumps are mounted to... you have severely limited suspension travel

Why is your Fox resi hose wrapped around the shock like that?

I had Fox shocks and never wrapped it up like that :notsure:

does it bother you? better to have more bump stops than blowing a shock or bending a leaf -- which has happened to me

Idk I did it that way because I didn't know how else to do it and thought the braided hose would get eaten away by the shock mount over time..

Unloaded no it doesn't bother me but as soon as 2 people get in the back seat or I put some camping gear in the bed it rides on the bumps stops which makes for a pretty unpleasant ride off road.

@Italia234 10k on the Fox rear shocks and no issues with the hoses rubbing aginst the frame or any suspension parts.

Yeah man... you’ve got <1” of up travel. Not sure what the issue is, but with it set up like that you’re not going to get very far. I wouldn’t think the weight of your bars and tent would be enough to compress those springs that much, but that seems to be the issue. The combination of the leafs compressing, the flip kit, and the plate for the bumps seems like it has created a problem instead of any benefit. Even with all my gear (rack, tent, maxtrax, rotopax, and full size spare in bed) I only got 3/8” sag with my Dakar’s. I did not do aftermarket bumps or a bolt flip kit and everything has been fine. The only thing I can think of is contacting allpro and seeing if you’re overloading them and possibly getting them replaced or moving on to a different spring

My buddy trimmed the bumpstop mounts a few inches on his truck. He cut the metal and then reweld the part back on. Easy fix IMO.

Did you take any measurements from pre lift install and after? The all pro springs are supposed to be 3" lift yes?

its an allpro standard thing...... @snowsk8air2 had to do a shackle flip and lift shackles to get some sort of uptravel on my recommendation before he went SUA. Pretty sure he had the same setup as you OP.

Even though the all pro springs are like 10 or 11 leafs thick they definitely are not the most stout. Lots of the "lift" comes from the extra thickness of the spring pack itself.

Nope they are in correct initially the shop did installed them backward I had to re do it the bump stops were not lining up.

    No unfortunately I didn't measure
This is what I was afraid of. with this set up I have less uptravel then with my factory leaf and spring. I for sure have the down travel but driving down the freeway just over bridges I'm bottoming out. :(

Measure it now. It should be in the 24" range + or - .5-3/4" maybe.

I think the average stock height is 21", so with your tent and bars you're netting 2". That sucks. My truck with Dakars is at 24" with a canopy and about 100+ pounds of gear in it all the time.

Do you still have your old bumps? If you do you should put those on and see what it's like.
