    I honestly don't know.

    My dad ended up buying some parts store pieces to get the truck back together so him and my cousin could use it for hunting last year.

    But I went through and replaced all that shit a couple months later. I swear I thought I purchased an OEM LBJ to replace it. I've seen what happens and I don't think I would have left a parts store LBJ in there.

    Was only doing about 10mph when it happened. I was about to jump on the highway about 100 yards away and do 55 so that's probably a blessing in disguise.

    Well glad it didn't let go at 55. Knowing how it feels at 10 and 25-30...55 would be insanely bad.

    What else is broke? I'm sure the cv is and upper bj.

    How did your steering rack fair?

    I was having nightmares after Montes ordeals. This was honestly the last thing I was worried about, I didn’t think they were that worn already.

    CV is toast, rack was fucked already so it was going to be replaced anyways, upper bj, brake lines, I think that’s about it really.


    I’ve decided to sell everything and take up crocheting and buy a moped :bananadead:

    Really glad to hear it was at a low speed. Keeps the carnage down to a tolerable level for sure.

    I don't think I've ever heard of an OEM one failing at the joint with less than +100K miles on it. It will be very interesting if yours actually are OEM because it sounds like the amount of miles on them is very low.

    Should be fairly easy to tell if they are OEM when you inspect them. The Toyota ones have a machined surface for the mounting bolts. Not positive on this but I think moogs and other aftermarket brands do not have this feature.

    Haha yeah. But it's light. Whole thing is 200 lbs. Tent is only 135. And it comes with either aluminum sides or cavase sides to cover the res of the bed

    That's not any lighter than a CVT - my Mt. Shasta is 125 lbs., though with the cover for the rest of the bed, it would clearly be a great thing for mud. And much lighter than a WilderNest :)!

    I don’t need the ladder rack or want it that tall nor for the price. My tepui kukenam ruggedized is like 180lbs and my bed rack is like 40. 220lbs total and costed all together under 1400. If I needed a ladder rack I wouldn’t do it with a short bed anywyas

    yeah my old tent was less than that even. My new one though is over 200 i think.

    Im still a bit skeptical about it. But want to go see it in person before final judgements. I do like the alumimum siding though. Isn't THAT much lighter than a wildernest though. And the wildernest is lower. But would be much more rugged. And be a bigger sleeping area.

    cool to see something new being developed though.

    how tall is your bed rack? i mean, by that logic yes im in the same boat. Plus the tent is very low. But with it higher you can fit things more easily and access them better.

    Pros and Cons.

    Not saying I want one because I think if I put one on Frank id end up upside down again.

    My rack is 10.5 inches from the bed rails. I can open my cooler at the tailgate and I can pull my other things out no problem. It puts my tent about 1.5 inch above the roof line.     Yeah that looks like a good height. My original one was to fit the dog kennels. Was 14.5'' tall. too tall.

    Now im at 4''. Which fits my gear perfect. But can't bring dogs really anymore. At least not on long trips.
