Changing a flat tire this morning on rear drivers side and became sick when I saw this crack in my frame. Does anyone know of a recall for this type of frame failure. Any thoughts on how to fix it.

Can't really tell where on the chassis that is located. It is a bad crack regardless of location. Fix... replace the part for sure, hopefully it has been upgraded or strengthened since your truck was made. If not available, a good welder might be able to make it right, and even better. Probably need to remove it first before welding.

Was your vehicle ever in a collision or something else that could have caused this?

    No wrecks at all.
It’s my frame so removing it is out of my ability.

All I can say is wow, I guess the frame recall will be extending to later years.

Looks like possible overload and bent the frame where the air bag sits, once the bottom was bent up the frame lost its structural properties, continued use and possible slop caused a stress crack.

    Just my thoughts ....

I would remove the air bags then get the welder and frame gussets out

    I'd try
    -Dealer
    -Insurance
    -Welder

In that order. Tough to sell or trade a truck with a big patch in the frame down the road.

It's also a good time to box in the frame.

SO go back and look at the first few pictures the two bolts do not have any dirt behind them as they might be lose allowing slop

I could patch that and finish it to where you couldn't tell.

Why bother if you can get the dealer or insurance to replace the frame?
