meh carpenters make pretty good money here. As they should.
Let me be clear i mean a certified carpenter. To be a license carpenter here is a pretty intensive test, and many things fall under it. Roofing, glazing, framing, drywall, concrete forming. There is a lot to know and it has a lot to do with structure so its pretty important.

I guess this is why America has a shortage of tradesmen. As in most states trades are not a career to live comfortably from what I understand. Here as long as you're with a good company or even better in the unions you can live pretty good. I'm a licensed electrician, and this ignorance is all over here too though. Many think we are either worth nothing, or just think we make nothing.
You'd be amazing how many offices I've worked in and when people realized I was making more than they do sitting in an office and I have a pension and benefits.

When I was down there recently and talking to my aunt and uncle I had to bite my tongue but I was pretty pissed off how my Aunt let it slip that to her (being in medicine) and pretty much all white collar jobs there view blue collar workers as uneducated filth.
I can't say for sure with the other trades but the schooling for electrical is pretty intense when you get into theory, and we need to know a lot for electrical code.

I've dealt with it a lot doing side jobs dealing with homeowners who don't want to pay a fair price. I tell them, go do it yourself then and don't cry when you burn down your house.
I had the grades to go to university, but I wanted a job after school. Besides I'd go mental sitting in an office. Truthfully though I wish I could do it haha. The trades are so fucking hard on your body. Sure I have a great pension to look forward to, but I also have constant physical pain to look forward to as well as especially being in commercial and industrial electrical, it takes a serious toll on the body. Knees, wrist, and shoulders most of all.

besides the pro isn't actually higher. They say it is, but many have compared side by side, they're the same height as an off road.

Is this with the leather trimmed seats and moon roof? Where are you located if you don't mind me asking. I am looking for one in the Northwest region but there are not any allocated here at this time.

It is... package comes with them. I'm located Northern VA/ DC area. They had a cement one gray allocated but I wanted the blue so I'm having it built. They submitted the request to Toyota on the 15th.

I'll update when they send me the build date. (currently not listed on build dates through December 8th)

BTW... use the internet managers for the best price. I send for quotes to 5-6 internet managers and then keep sending the best quote around until there is only one remaining.

I just got back from a dealership in the Pacific Northwest, does anyone know if this is a good or bad deal?
2018 DCSB SR 4wd for $1,800 below MSRP
(MSRP includes delivery, processing, and handling fee so it could be viewed as $800 below MSRP)

Its everything I have dreamed of (color, price, etc.). I am not into bells and whistles and love the SR models.

Its not great but if its the exact truck you want, don't let a thousand dollars or so stop you from getting it.

Can you share what dealer this is? I'm in the Seattle area and looking for either a 2017 or 2018 now. PM me if you can. Thanks!

So far what is the lowest price (amount below MSRP or invoice) that we have seen here so far? $500 to $1000 under invoice? How low is possible?

usually a decent discount is between 7-11% off msrp. I got 9% off my tundra platinum that I am still waiting for. seems to be stuck in rail head in daytons bluff, mn and being put on a transport truck.

There is a parking lot near the grocery store we shop where truckers usually park overnight then leave the next day. On one of them is a brand new Cement 4runner. I first noticed it wednesday.. It sat there the until Monday for the holiday week, I'm guessing so the driver could visit family. Someone was anxiously waiting as well I assume. That could be what happened with yours.

Cool, that is my target range - preferably toward the higher side of that range. I know it's feasible with patience and being willing to look further around to get it. I like the thrill of the hunt for a good deal.

Wonder if the OEM 2018 Tacoma pro grilles will accommodate the TSS sensor better. Assuming of course that the new 2018 TRD pros will offer
that. Might be worth waiting on it.
