Left my laptop at home today, I'm off at 3 and home to get the updated ECU list, should be available now, so I can extract my stock tune to send off to OVT. Hopefully he's got something premade for me to try out while he tweaks my custom tune. Gonna need to do some data logging as well to send off to him.

 

Make sure it doesnt log all the shitty strip clubs you go to at lunch

 

I'm hoping there's a hidden feature in the ECU that can change the appearance of my truck so my ole lady doesn't spy me at da club. my truck sticks out like a airflow snorkel

 

What all do you have done to your truck to need a custom tune? Are you just trying to eek out as much as you can from your bolt-ons? You're not supercharged are you?

 

No supercharger, looking for any gain I can. Snorkel/CAI Doug thorley long tube headers, urd comp y pipe and mbrp exhaust, 2 1/2" the whole way no cats. Exhaust can is meh, need to add a resonator or change it out completely. Over 2800rpm she's raaaaaaaaaspy. Been thinking about an intake spacer also. unno:

called gadget today to see about running the UCON without the S/C and the only thing he added, was to also do the injectors with the cam and thermostat w/ ucon and there will be no issues. Run that for a couple days then install the S/C. Not that this has to all be done in 3 different stages, but he agreed that any trouble shooting would be substantially reduced doing it this way and agreed with the idea.

 

If I added up all the money I've spent on misc truck shit since I've bought it, I could have paid it off or had a supercharger already.

And of course a week after I bought my truck a supercharged dcsb popped up for sale.

For the raspy tones, try a Dynomax Super Turbo 17748, I hear they're not very loud but give a decent growl when you get on it.

I've been toying with the idea of making some intake spacers. I have access to a water jet and I'm sure as shit not paying close to $300 for one when they're that easy to make.
