    How much rub to get you as an anytime consultant?!?! That's a really good idea!

    I'm a few inventory turns away from being able to order in pallet quantities. At the right quantity, my terms get a little better, costs go down just a bit, and I can start looking in to drop-shipping to different locations, so product doesn't always have to come through my hands (though I'll routinely be doing quality assurance). There is the hook for getting bulk quantities to all corners of the country to hustle as a part of the Pitfaced BBQ team.

    If you can get 2 or 3 stores in each part of the country to stock your stuff, even specialty shops, your shit will take off because people will soon be asking bigger stores for the stuff they bought at the specialty store. Just keep your eye on branding and fulfillment and you’ll get there. The hard part is already done... you have a great product. Now just gotta get it in people’s faces and you’ll be on the upswing forever as long as you remember that bit about God, devil, and details.

    And P.S... no, it doesn’t refer to religion, just a couple of old sayings. @bvbull200 knows what I’m talking about, already had that discussion.

    To be fair, I don't think @horstuff is suggesting anything that would sacrifice flavor. Ideally, I could get the taste, the adhesion to the meat, the caramelizing effect, AND have a rub that was completely free-flowing. Brownulated is a potential solution. The samples I worked from were a non-starter, though. It'd take quite a bit of work to get from what those samples were to something that would even go out for blind taste tests.

    I think most everyone would agree that this stuff packs together, but it doesn't really "clump" the way the handmade stuff could. Different kind of effect. Once some more folks get theirs, I'll throw up a little poll or something to get everyone's impression on whether or not they feel it is something worth really working on.

    This has been such an awesome evening seeing the pictures get posted up. I'm giddy over here. Skipped my accounting homework, even :rofl:. The feedback, concerns, and the brainstorming has been just as fulfilling to me as well. You guys are the absolute best!

    Agreed. Sorry I'm saying clumping. Packed is a much better term. Again I attribute it to actually filling the packages full.

    Should have some good pics of the product with possibly a 4 lb tomahawk ribeye and maybe a fried turkey by week's end :D:fistbump:
