TRD Pro Grille for $140?

Yeah it was. Took almost a year to get them to agree to take it back and refund my money.

 

Way to keep on keeping on.

 

Saw mine today. The label on the box said Genuine Toyota Parts and the white label on the side clearly stated “Made in USA” on it.

 

The one I got from Toyota did not. Was speaking with my sister-in-law and she stated that the company in Salem Ohio made a batch for Toyota in bulk that are stored at Toyotas warehouse for order fulfillment. The grilles that do not pass QA at the salem plant due to any flaw be it finish or mold error are then either scrapped and melted if they are too flawed and the grilles that are not passed by the scanner are then sold in bulk to outside sources without the center insert. The center inserts are in fact made in china and shipped to the plant in Salem Ohio.

I have a "genuine" Pro grill. Bought it before the eBay ones started to show up. Here is the label on the end of the box. There is another label on the box referencing Ventra Salem LLC, located in Salem, OH.

 

I might actully have a trd pro by time mine arrives

 

I'm still waiting...maybe it'll get here in a week or maybe it'll be a nice Christmas present.

Here's an update on mine. Ordered from Motorfansclub on Nov 14. Sent the seller a message via ebay today and he just responded with the following:

Lately shipping to US was extrmeley slow, and it has caused many delays. Upon looking, your parcel has not arrived in your country yet, the shipping is now recovering, would you please give us another week on shipping? Mine was solid and no flaws thank God. Looked really good. I can’t wait to get it on. Glad you got your money back. My dealership is pretty cool.

My wife’s car came with those apple Iphone cables and such that they charge you 189.00 for. That’s what was on the window sticker. My TRDOR came with them as well. Both her set and my set work in my truck, but neither one work in her car. You get the “This accessory isn’t authorized” notification on your phone in her car. The actual apple cables do work in her car.

Went to the parts department and they gave me 189.00 + tax back no questions asked.

 

Got mine yesterday! Ordered from Motorfansclub Monday Nov 20 - looks pretty good, packaged well, no broken tabs!

 

You lucky son of a gun! You ordered six days later than me from the same seller and got it already?!!

These Chinese guys have manufacturing down but apparently need lessons on order fulfillment.

Got mine today, ordered Wednesday last week for $140 including shipping to Wisconsin. Install took about 10 minutes after watching a YouTube video.

 

He ordered eight days after me, and I’m still waiting. I’m confused now more than ever.

 

I guess. They're trying to get all you SoCal guys to show off and market their stuff since you're in a huge Taco market.

I can hear their conversation:

"Hey we got another order from uh uh North Carolina."

"Put that order aside, here's an order from Bay Watch country."

 

You got that right, when I tried to buy my truck in 2016 almost every dealer was sold out for some time. They had base models and it was going for over MSRP. I was stupid and paid full price for mine, I noticed others were purchasing from out of state and having it shipped and still saved money
