I am re-evaluating my on board repair/recovery/spare parts stuff. I think I remember seeing someone call it an "Oh Shit Kit" I want to be fully self sufficient in the case of an "oh shit" moment. Sure, i'm usually with a group, but you never know. Plus, I don't like relying on what someone else may or may not have.

Please help me think, make suggestions, and critique as you see fit.

I don't see tow straps listed? What about a screwdriver, like the one with multiple tips. Gloves?

 

Slide hammer made great work at getting that damn CV out on the trail Crowbar works just as good but not as efficient IMO.

Yeah, I figured you probably already had straps somewhere else. What are you using to carry your recovery gear in?

 

I have an ammo can with straps/ shackles and suck that lives in the back seat.

This is a cool tool to use in a pinch if you destroy a valve stem that doesn't require breaking the bead:

IIRC the CV nut is 35 MM but 36 will work, but I try to use the 35 if I have it.

A jump pack is always good to have if you have a single battery.

A pitman puller is also nice to carry to change a tie rod or LBJ.
