Does anybody have any good solutions for stopping the head unit from hitting "play" as soon as an Android phone is connected to it? I've had a dozen different kinds of headphones, speakers, etc connected to 2 different phones now and the Taco is the only thing that does this. It's mildly annoying because I usually have a podcast or audiobook or something paused in the background and my radio turned way down so when I start listening again later on I have no idea where I left off. So far I haven't found any menu options anywhere on either end of the connection to stop this from happening.

I don't think so, it's done this with 4 different apps on 2 different phones. I've used several Bluetooth audio devices and none of them caused it to autoplay when they connected.

in my case I kinda like the auto play so I downloaded an app that was suppose to do that but it didnt work so well and as the updates for the app kept coming finally they landed on one that finally made it work. So for what thats worth... wishing you all the luck in the world with it.

Thanks for the info! It doesn't seem to do it if I remember to change the input away from bluetooth or turn off the radio. Guess I'll have to keep trying to remember to do that.

Even with the app that works for me to auto start about 2 out of 5 times still will not auto start for some reason, I have to bring it up and manually tap the play button.

Something to note here, I have an 07 Sport which came with the older style stereo, I switched all that out with an Alpine, might be why the two units work differently for us.
