Same diff so can just swap. Highly recommend the 4.70s at least. But I'd go for 4.88s minimum. I have 5 29s and it's epic with a blower.

2wd spindles, bought the truck that way. Trying to convert back to working 4x4. Has front diff with inner CVs but no axles. Lower uniball mount puts a bolt right where the CV lives.

Ah. So not really do able to make it 4wd then?

Shame your selling. Feel like you just finished it.

I thought you were joking about somebody buying your truck when you said it the other day. Man you almost had it finished - what's the alternative to having this thing?

New kit. Can't do it currently.

I am kinda. I doubt it will sell, everyone's a tire kicker and just wants to waste time asking questions.

I’m slowly modeling my kit so I can be cool like you guys and try out this dyi front lt kit. Already going to tell that I hate my steering rack even more.

So you are saying you made you spindle taller than oem or just because my setup is different with being 5 lug?

No I shortened my spindle and my upper arm is only like 3” above the frame..... I kinda threw all the Toyota geometry out the window

Ford 9" :D can find a decent junk yard one for about $250 or craigslist for less than $1k, rebuild the 9 and the gears are cheaper and labor is less, and you have the skills to fab a truss on the housing (you will have to truss the tundra anyway). Sell the other rear ends to buy new axles for 9". Yes its not a full fabbed floater but waaaay stronger than the tundra rear gears, especially at 5.29. May cost you a little more at first, might end up about even, but after you blow the gears on the tundra once you will end up spending way more. Mine was a craigslist find with locker, geared what I wanted, overall I spent less than an ecgs swap ;)

I notice many sellers have this mentality lately, myself included. There's been about 4 instances where the sellers had the same mentality so didn't buy. Ended up buying another project vehicle that is supposed to replace my Tacoma and we located a race truck through a prep shop after two failed attempts of buying directly from the owners.

That sucks. I have enough respect for someone else's time. If they make an effort to ask questions, want more pics, or want to come see the truck I'll accommodate and not make them feel like they're wasting anyone's time. If all they ask is "what's the lowest you'll go?" straight off the bat then fuck them.

That lowest price you'll go is the most annoying thing ever. I've never sold anything to anyone who says that. I try to get off the phone or just end the text once I hear that.

That or my favorite from my old shop. Customers would ask if we would give them a cash discount. No, you pay me what you owe me. I don't care how you do it. We would ask them if they would go to the grocery store and at checkout ask the cashier for a cash discount.

    ...too much shit to list.
Ehhh...not exactly apples to apples when it comes to small businesses who may or may not have "shady" business practices to avoid paying state taxes. Essentially off the books work so the shop makes more money on the job...but also illegal.

I always looked at it like if a shop takes cash on a normal transaction, what other places do they cut corners. Don't want to do your books right, what about my roll cage, did you skimp on that to save a few bucks too?

No not exactly the same, but similar mindset. We already had CARB breathing down our necks all the time for being a performance shop. Everything was on the books and legit. And if customers were trying to get us to be shady for any reason, we would turn them away. The only "shady" thing we did was modify bikes to where they may or may not have been street "legal" anymore. But when the customer signs a waiver stating their sport bike or Harley is strictly a track bike, and it shows up on a trailer with no license plate on it, I can't stop them from slapping a plate back on and riding on the street.

Its hardly shady to ask for a cash discount. if somebody asked me i would always do 3% cash discount, as thats what my CC processing fees are anyways. Its still on my books but still a discount lol

This country was started by some guys that wanted some discounts lol. That said the lowest I will go for someone who's impolite is higher than someone gets who talks in a civil manner.
