Looks like you have different and or more than i do. My setup is 2017 TRDOR v6 6-speed manual with just the Fortin Evo One. Only remotes I have are the 2 attached to the original Toyota keys.

Sorry, what is an H-Key? And how would I know if my truck has an H-Key? Looking at a 2018 Tacoma - V6 Auto, TRD Off Road.

Aren't there a couple threads from voodoo and others that have remote starts already?

H-Key are a physical key / remote combo with the letter H stamped on the key blade. They are used on non push to start Tacoma’s. So if you have an engine start stop button you don’t have they H-Key. I believe all TRD automatics are push to start.

Just realized you have a manual. I have a H-key Automatic. So just curious on your Fortin how would my install differ from yours? Would it just be the clutch button steps would be skipped? Thanks for all your feedback. You the man. :burnrubber:

Actually just traded my 16 auto for this one last week. Had the Evo One in it too. Anyway for the auto you do cut the yellow wire loop on the Evo One. Ready mode options are irrelevant because it won’t be used as the automatic has a neutral safety built in. And yep no clutch switch relay stuff either.

I'm using drone mobile to start stop with phone. Unlocks locks truck with the phone. It uses the Verizon network. I have 6 spd. Manual. Compustar.

Great product. Tells voltage. Tells temp. If the truck is ready to start.

Once stopped, put truck in neutral. Put the e-brake on. Release brake and clutch. Then remove keys. Open door and get out. After a few seconds truck shuts down. Locks door and ready to go.

No. Compustar is the remote start. It has a limited range. So I bought the drone mobile that was extra. That works with Verizon. I pay 100.00 a year.

12voltsolutions plug and play version for 2016-2018 Tacomas worked just as advertised on my 2016 TRD Sport. 30 minute install today...start to finish. Love it.

reviving a dead thread trying to figure out my compustar that i repurposed from my 4runner, anyone here familiar? I have everything hooked up, brain, dronemobile, das tpms cut and brain connection in between, and clutch cancel yellow wire connected. but can only get it to remote start if i physically hold in the clutch or the cancel button. is that relay a necessity for compustar as well?

    2021 6 spd
