    I've owned quite a few vehicles for my age. Never not once did I ever put a damn bag on an alternator or battery to shield water. Ever.
    Never not once ever did any of those vehicles not run after washing them.

    Agreed. Overkill. It is for a showroom clean but just for viewing reference and tips. And the bags are overkill too. I only ever used them on my corvette when I had it, but like you have never had an issue. But I always recommend it for CYA reasons ;)

    I will cover the aux fuse panel and do that all by hand (probably with a toothbrush) just for absolute safety sake and piece of mind.

    There's really no reason to get any of that wet anyways.​
