I'm sure a lot of people have done it. 5100s are good for the money, are you trying to get any lift out of them? If so, it would be better to leave the 5100s set at 0 and swap out your stock coils for longer ones to get the lift you want. Lifting via the shocks/5100s will make your ride quality suffer.

.85" will net a good ride and a level stance.

I have been looking into this as well. I’ll have to research this a little further. Thanks.

    I went from a 16 access cab SR5 to a 17 Sport.
I had the 5100s on the 16, set to 2nd notch, and had a nice level sitting truck.
Went I traded to the 17, I left the height the same, but gained about a 1/2” extra lift over the SR5, which I suspect is due to the beefier coils.

I honestly preferred the ride of 5100s and the SR5 springs over the harsher Sport springs. It’s not bad at all, and it is definitely more controlled than on the stock shocks. I just prefer a softer spring rate. I’ll be swapping for a set of Doninsons or OME’s eventually.
I’m 50/50 on lifting the back an inch to match or go down a notch on the shocks to get the leveled appearance I initially wanted on the first truck.

    (Nice color choice)

Unless the ride improves with the 5100s I am thinking that it is a little expensive for a 1inch lift in the front.

In my opinion the Off-road road better than the sport stock for stock. I recently went with the 5100 all the way around with the front set at the top position. I love the way it rides now. I was worried about it because everybody says not to go to the top clip. I know ride is subjective but I a completely happy with it.

    I’m on front 5100 on 3rd notch and rear 5100 w 1.5” block..
rides very very similar to factory, slightly stiffer.. I love it. More of the stiffness in the ride comes from the ko2 E.

I am thinking this is the way to go. I found a set of coils that come with the strut installed. Toytec/ Eibach Complete front coilovers. They give a 2" lift. Installation would be take out the stock coils and put in the new Eibach's and down the the alignment shop. So I guess I need some info on the Eibach's. Anyone here know anything about them. Toytec Online Store is where I found these.

Eibach is a good brand of coils, probably most commonly used aftermarket brand next to OME.

I am thinking about installing the Eibach complete coil overs. They are ready to install and give a 2inch lift on the front for around 500 bucks. I haven't checked shipping, tax, handling etc...ok, quick edit, 35 bucks shipping to my house and California's new tax on everything online, I still like the deal.

I just emailed David at ToyTec about the Eibach kit. I'm pretty sure this is the one I'm going with. Did you end up doing it?
