I've been having an internal debate recently... when I get back from this deployment, should I keep my tore up '05 and continue to tear it up or upgrade to a newer and nicer Tacoma with lower miles?

 

Nope just Stage 2, this time around will be more general off roading and exploring with the build.

 

Depends on your long term goals, if you plan on chopping it up and modding the shit out of it, take it from me, don't do it to a brand new truck lol. Keep yours and hack away and get yourself a reliable dd.

I think some of it is going to depend on if I can get my assignment to Korea cancelled. I definitely won't go brand new, not willing to spend that much. I'd rather buy a low mileage '13-'15 and spend some of the savings on mods. I'm just not sure how reliable my 05 is going to be, the previous owner didn't maintain it very well and catching up may be very expensive. I'll have to weight the options... at least I have some time.

So, tracking number has been issued for my new plate steel rear bumper, now to decide on coating. Powder, professional bedliner, or rattle can bedliner...

 

Didn't they say a couple years ago they might make the diesel a thing here? Might happen now that they have more competition lol
