Oh yeah, I'm not referencing the size of the tent. Moreso stating that my GF would never climb up into it.

I wish I could afford 2 setups, one like this. Would really be nice for future plans above the arctic circle. Likely I'm stuck with some sort of fatkid built off road trailer, on the cheap.

I was certainly taught it was necessary, but who know's what they teach in schools anymore. :notsure:

I've been watching that very closely. Going to see if I can fit it in the budget.

That seems like the most well thought out, practical setup to date.

    $5K though!

Not much more complicated than a rack and a hard shell RTT at double the price. It is a pretty design cool though.

A rack is $500 to $800. Good hardshells go for around $3k and then you add the aluminum sides to the rack..... Not excited about a $5k price, but seems reasonable compared to piecing something together.

Cheaper if I pick it up, and that sounds like an awesome excuse for a trip up that way. :D

And then you still can't stand up in it, or access the tent from inside the bed.

that is a big selling point! or Iggy's similar concept but its more pricy since its an aluminum cap built into the camper shell.

if this would have been around when I was in the market I might of done this, but I already order my camper shell and hard shell RTT. so I am going to run with what I got going so fare oh well.

If it's like a flippac, I could camp in it every night while I drive to Alaska, turn around and drive to South America, and then sell it for $6,000 when I get home.

Would love to make it happen. I don't think it's possible before the summer of 2019 though.

No. I saw the light and gave up on that silly idea.

I wouldn't trust one to make an extended trip anyways. Think of all the annoying vibrations I would have to deal with, and Toyota telling me that's normal.

Item #69285 No guarantees from me on this one, however it is serviceable and rebuildable.
