No accessories. Just read through the starter contacts thread, so depending on if the battery is toast, that's on my list as well. Thanks!

But its the contacts it still usually starts. just takes longer. but its not a bad idea to replace them if its been a long time.

nah if the contacts are bad and the voltage is a bit low, it won't start. It'll click like mad.

When mine started to go, it clicked and after a 5-10 seconds then it would start. I drove it like that for a week or two until I could pull the starter out and replace them.

Proper work is using anti seize on any steel bolt going into aluminum and on stainless always. If you dont then the steel bonds to the aluminum causing it to seize. When you go to pull said bolt plug ect it will take all the aluminum threads with it, which will make you have to heli coil it. Anti seize does not cause things to back out properly.

There is no eeeh about it.

The past few years I've used hdmp on the outside of the frame and the inside is covered with Eastwood internal frame coating (or something along those lines)

So I jumped the truck, started right up. Drove it to my office, turned off, get the clicking again.

There's a buzzing that sounds like a possible short coming from the EVAP box right behind the fuse panel in the engine bay...

+1 specially if it started right up when you jumped it. Battery isn't holding a strong enough charge to start it up again.

yep dead battery. More worrying though is that your alternator could be dead.

Next time its running, check the voltage. should be at 14.1-14.4v

The fact you were able to jump it though and drive around makes me think that it is work though.

Yepp, first crank after hooking up the cables and letting it charge a bit.

I had an alternator go out on me in an old cherokee, could feel it losing power while driving. I definitely don't feel that, and it seems like as long as it's running it wants to keep running.

I can't remember what the old trick is. After you get it running you disconnect the - or + and if it stays on, alternator is good. If it turns off, you'll need a new alternator too.

Doesn't hurt to check, throw a multi meter across your neg and positive to check.

Yeah when my alt was going out on me, it would turn on the battery light while I was driving.
